Perhaps Marv would comment on this as he is pretty friendly with the owner. Incidentally both the owner and Marv have also had thier paypal accounts limited.

Fortuna can you explain what it is you did to attract Paypals attention or was it just a random ban?

I must say this little ptogramme is pretty incidental to the other things that I use Paypal for, if I lose my account I will be a lot less than happy.

Regards

Be wary of this scheme. I've just had my PayPal account 'permanently limited' because apparently using 2020unlimited violates their Acceptable Usage Policy. This means I am banned from PayPal for life! No warning, no appeal.

THE SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!!!
NO WARNING!!

This is also the fault of PAYPAL as far as I am concerned.
Why they can't give you a warning is beyond me!

My pay pal was hit too. John at 2020unlimited has alot of explaining to do. I wonder if this is why I have'nt recieved any payments from other programs lately like I have been. Will this effect our payments received also? I think everyone needs to individually send John At 2020unlimited a E_MAIL with these concerns. Read my postings previous to this one and see if I was right or not about this opportunity.

This is so unfair. I just sign up with 2020. Does anyone know how do I cancel the account with them.

I have spoken to John at 2020, apparently someone accused a 2020 member of spamming and sent emails to 2020 & paypal, hence paypal taking action. I also had income4beginners, paysforever & 6by6million listed as being in violation too in the same email, I personally cannot see how any of them could be considered to be against their acceptable use policy. You would have to ban every single money making opportunity on the net, maybe that's what they will eventually do. I just signed up for google checkout and have integrated it into my 6by6million, I4B and paysforever programs. John is working on obtaining a new payment processor for 2020, so 2020 is not dead, just temporarily down. I suggest everyone should obtain other payment sources, I already had Alertpay & e-gold and just added google, which means my customers can pay with a credit card. I also just joined Super Eden, you do not accept payments directly, the company does this for you and they accept many different forms of payment. I will NOT let paypal put me out of business!! You shouldn't either.

Maybe this has something to do with the volume of receipts that you get through Paypal, if you are just receiving money then they are more likely to put a hold on your account, if you have a balance between paying and receiving then you are probably going to be ok

Marv, I Read on another forum that e-gold has filed bancruptcy. You may want to check into it and get your money out. Thats all the members were talking about last night.

Why can't we go back to old credit card systems?

Hi jvco,

Good thing I don't have anything in there!! Although I received a payment a few days ago and sent money back out. Google checkout will let your customers pay with a credit card.

Never really got the idea of e gold ebullion etc, so left them alone looks like a good move.

Problem with Google checkout is where I live I get charged an extra 1.50 ($3.00 to you) per transaction by my bank for an overseas transaction. This makes it very expensive for small purchases.

Contact paypal by phone during customer service hours.
Don't listen to the computer telephone 'operator', just repeat AGENT over and over again - otherwise, you'll just be hung up on anyway.
At least that was my experience dealing with that damn 'robo-operator'.
Give the agent a POLITE piece of your mind.

Get the name of the person you talked to on the phone and then send paypal an email describing the issue - [email protected]
Offer to strike the offending website from your paypal account, AFTER you explain to them (politely) how off base they are!

That's what I did.
I was promised on the phone by RICK, that a response would be forthcoming in 24 - 48 hours.
(we'll see!!)

It ought to at LEAST give the paypal people something else to do with their time other than shutting down people's accounts without warning or notice!

I didn't do anything. Haven't even made my $50 back yet

Checking. I think that PayPal just went through every 2020 page shutting one after another down.

7 yrs with eBay and 4 with PayPal completely screwed. I could understand it if I was breaking the law, but it appears to be a violation of PayPal's 'ethical' code. I think an unwarned permanent ban is a bit harsh.

It's nice of Marv to recommend other payment options, but I'm not in the US, so PayPal is pretty much it.

Yes fortuna654, this is insanely ridiculous!

I just got a reply from paypal to my attempts to reason with them.
They are intransigent!

I sent them a reply asking them to reconsider but I doubt if that will actually work.

MAYBE if enough people write and complain, they will behave more reasonably.
They ARE losing money after all by canceling peoples accounts left and right.

I also plan to discuss things with the support team of ANY pay plan I get involved with BEFORE doing business with them.
Not only to prevent any problems but to offer them a competitive edge in letting them know how unreasonable and foolish paypal is in this matter - they are losing customers for no good reason!!!

Paypal is just being stupidly unreasonable.
If they make such a move based on one person's accusation, that is stupid.
Such an accusation/response doesn't explain why they would take this action on people promoting other websites though.

Nobody COULD be expected to see how these sites or MOST sites would be against their stupid 'acceptable use policy'.

I propose we ALL email the heck out of them on this matter.
Spread the word on paypal wherever possible.
And get right out there and do business with other pay plans, but EXPLAIN to the support centers about the problems paypal has been giving its customers to avoid such problems in the future.

Let the entire internet WORLD know how unreasonable paypal is.
How they mistreat their customers!

VISIT THIS SITE!: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/paypal.asp

Please everyone, google 'PAYPAL permanently limited', PAYPAL CLASS ACTION SUIT, Paypal horror stories. etc.

Apparently there is a class action suit that was settled against paypal and those who qualify can get part of a 5.8million dollar settlement.
Not much, apparently $9 taxable(!) dollars but possibly 'up to $50':
"Under the terms of the settlement, anyone who had a PayPal account from October 1, 1999 to January 31, 2004 can receive up to $50 by filing a short form"

There are a LOT of horror stories about paypal on the web.
Of course some of those too may be scams but, if people google 'PAYPAL horror stories' etc. and SHARE their results we might get some relief from all of this.

I don't intend to waste any more time trying to reason with paypal - I am certainly going to get right back in business with a more reputable and reasonable payment site asap - IF such a pay plan site even exists!

But in the name of fairness and liberty, we should all do SOMETHING about paypal's tyranny as well!

PAYPAL APPEAL

I just got an email from paypal.
They are offering me an appeal:

To appeal the limitation on your account, you will need to:

1. Remove PayPal as a payment option, as well as all references to PayPal,
including the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart, from your website(s)... and,

2. Submit the online Acceptable Use Policy affidavit.

I don't have time for this right now but I will get back to this issue later and share my results with those who are interested.

no money from 2020u.

I have gotten 4 sales ($22.12 after paypal fees) from 6x6million using Marv Dorns $15 advertising plan.

I haven't gotten around to peddling my I4B site yet.

I haven't tried to promote 2020u because I haven't had any proof that the 'effortless' payout scheme is for real. I can't promote something in good faith if I don't believe in it.
I have asked for proof but not gotten any I can rely on as being accurate.
