This is a real hit with teenagers!

Good quality ice cream (Schwanns, Dreyers) Needs to be dense!
Corn Flakes (crushed)
Eggs (beaten)
Oil

Shape ice cream into ball (about the size of a tennis ball) then freeze solid.

After ice cream is frozen solid, dip balls into beaten egg and then roll in crushed corn flakes. Refreeze solid.

Repeat the process at least one more time.

Heat oil to a minimum of 375.

Fry ice cream balls for 10 to 15 seconds. Drain. Drizzle caramel, chocolate or hot fudge over ice cream. Top with whipped cream.

Variation: Use granola instead of corn flakes.

This is a very simple recipe but it does require a day to make due to the refreezing of the ice cream.
