I know there are a lot of people wondering about the Profit Lance program, and there are a lot of newbie's in general that are wondering how to get started in internet marketing.

I want to share my process with everyone step by step, so feel free to critique, question comment or just follow along.

I have lurked the internet on and off for years looking at "make money online!" type ads and products, but I never knew who provided a quality product and who just provided junk for forty bucks.

I came across Profit Lance about a month ago and after researching he product I decided to take the plunge. Profit Lance was the first product I have ever googled and not found any review that claimed it was a scam.

I shelled out my $77 on May 21. I was eager to get started and had no idea what I was in for. The first several hours of training, reading and videos that Mike Andrew's provides are pretty straightforward and presented in a well organized manner.

Mike introduces all the facets of IM. Niche Marketing, Keyword Research, Afilliate Marketing, Adsense, PPC, SEO, etc.

After the first set of lessons he walks you through signing up for clickbank, adsense, blogger, article writing sites, social networking etc. Mike provides a My Accounts page where you can keep track of your usernames and passwords etc.

After going through a few days of training and itching to do something more real and more beneficial to myself, I started my blog and first website.

I wrote my first 6-7 page site in one night. I was up until about 4am toiling away not wanting to stop. I added adsense and a couple of affilliate links I picked up at commissionjunction.com and my site was live.

I posted to my creditandcarloans.blogspot.com blog a few times and monetized that as well, and decided "I'm ready to make money"

dbbadcreditcarloans.com was born May 23rd.

It only took a couple of days for me to realize that my content was weak.

Not wanting to worry too much about my site I wanted to practice marketing, so I submitted my sites to a couple of Social Networking sites like Digg.com and Dropjack.com. I also wrote my first two articles which I immediately posted to GoArticles.com and Ezinearticles. I was dismayed to learn that my ezine would take at least a week to publish.

To my surprise I got an adsense hit in the first few days. It paid $2.78! I was shocked that my content had generated such an expensive ad, but I guess car loans are a pretty competitive market.

Still, I knew that my site needed work so I started re-tooling the first week of June.

So I concluded May with A blog posted, a weak website built, and a couple of ads driving me traffic. I managed to get indexed in Google, but in the auto loan category I already know SEO will be very tough.

Tune in to my next post, I will cover how I have done in June. I don't intend to share every penny I make, I'm not that kind of person, but I want to give other newbie's an idea of what they can expect, and what work it takes to get results.

Tune in for my update of the past 3 weeks.

For all prospective Profit Lance'rs: Profit Lance training did not tell me to just go out and start my site...I just decided it would be best for me to start out with a topic I feel very comfortable with so I did what I know.

Profit Lance provides live ready for traffic sites promoting clickbank products...If you want to start slow, I recommend picking out one of Profit Lance's free clickbank sites and promote that through blog, article writing etc...I simply felt like I needed to explore my own niche.

My last three weeks...

So to pick back up with my story. The first week of June I decided to revamp my site. I created a 30 page site and made it live. I only had the first few pages of content up, but I had the outline together and I've been writing a few pages a week.

The site is still not complete. I have content on about 15 pages. I am still actively writing the rest of the content.

I have still been promoting my site. I have now written 4 total articles. All are published to ezine and Goarticles. I have continued blogging as well. I was out of town for a week, but I still feel pretty good about my progress.

I have gotten a few random adsense clicks, about $7 worth this month. Today I made my first sale through commissionjunction for $22 and I made one sale on linkshare for $0.20.

My articles have gotten over 200 views and have sent 14 visitors to my site. I can't wait until I have 20-30 more articles. (I already have 20 article ideas ready to go.)

I am trying to dilligently finish my site, and I have many ideas for my next steps. I am going to create landing pages built into my site. They will be review pages for credit reports, car research, car loans, and other credit resources. I will then be marketing these pages on my site, in my blog, articles etc. (Is this a good idea? or should I have a seperate domain for each review site? Should I keep them within my current sites, but give them a different look?)

I also plan on experimenting with squidoo in the upcoming weeks...I am trying to build up this niche as best I can, so when I build my next niche site, the process is easy and smooth and I will know what works for me.

I return to Profit Lance everyday and read an ebook or watch a video...at the pace I am going, I will have plenty of training for the rest of the year.

I would like to find the time to squeeze in the 30 day challenge, but with my job, I have a hard time finding enough time for everything, but I'll get there eventually.

Please PM me if you have questions regarding Profit Lance

Aaron

Howdy Aaron,
I love the fact you are letting everyone know how you are doing, many poeple complain about hearing all these hyped up story about how people have made over $1000 within 15 minutes. The fact that you are telling it how it is great. You have had a promising start (better than i did) all the best and keep up the hard work

Hi Hemmer,

Yes, you were missed but glad you're back and ready 2 rock!

It's going well. I've become pretty good at working with PHP templates in WordPress themes. I've been toying around a bit and can make simple themes from scratch.

Lots of PHP files in a WP theme. It's fairly sophisticated. I've had formal training with ColdFusion, which is another server side language, but I taught myself PHP.

Teaching yourself a new programming language after you know several is actually surprisingly easy.

I've been using graphics programs a lot lately. I have a half dozen of them - Corel, Adobe stuff, and freebies. I use them all. I love graphic design!!! That's my favorite part of webmastering.

Lately I've been working 12-14 hours on the home biz. Riding the mountain bike a lot. Enjoying my time with the wife and cats. Loving the summer.

What are you up to specifically? Are you all done with High School now?

Wow you have been busy I havent got as far as teaching myself all these technical languages, I am sure that will come at a later date.

I am going to enter few niches and try and establish some consistant sales to help fund university and larger projects in the near future

Hi Hemmer,

Glad to hear it. Now you can put on that Alice Cooper tune: "School's Out" :)

Good luck moving forward and glad to be interacting with you again.

Would be nice to hear another update. I've been involved with Profit Lance since mid 2008 but turned my energy over to real estate investing. As I'm between properties now, I'm just starting to get back into Profit Lance again.

What are you finding works to drive traffic to your Profit Lance website and any other articles/web pages that you create?

I have by far seen the most results from article marketing. I really did not set up a site based on keyword research, so i'm not doing as well in search engines as I would like. I have turned my focus a little now to ebooks. I am in the process of writing my first ebook, and I hoe to promote it through clickbank.

I will be concentrating heavily on blog and aticle marketing. These tactics seem to have been my most useful so far...
