I originally tried to send this as an email to Michael Andrews, but I can't find his email anywhere. I thought I'd post here since the people seem to be very friendly and helpful
I purchased the Profit Lance course about 3 days ago and I am pretty impressed. This is actually the first such course that I have invested in. The amount of material on the site is incredibly substantial and intriguing. If I gain nothing else from the course, I have at least received a whole new perspective on the scope and size of the internet as a whole.
I have, as expected, not made any money in the three days I've had the course, but I was wondering if I could get some feedback? Following the projects, I've learned how to identify valuable markets and have created a blog. Now, obviously I need to get traffic to the blog. This is the part that I'm kind of getting stuck on. I have populated my real estate blog (http://justinsrealestate.blogspot.com) with some articles from a few different article sites and will also be writing original posts, mostly based on other blog or news posts, because I, admittedly, have no knowledge or experience in real estate investment (although it is something I am interested in learning about).
I'm looking for some feedback on my blog and some guidance on how to proceed? I haven't written any articles or press releases, because I don't know anything about the subject, and I'm a little wary of Michael's suggestion of summarizing the main points of others' articles because it seems like it might be almost kind of bordering on plagiarism.
Maybe it would help if I defined my goals for you. To start with, I want to be able to make an extra $500-$750 a month. I currently have a great day-job, which I love, and have no intention of quitting any time soon. This is just something I'd like to slowly build up in my spare time, and have some extra kicking-around money.
But more immediately is a ring. I have decided to ask my girlfriend to marry me. I have a ring all picked out and everything. It's nothing too fancy, 1 1/5 total karat weight diamonds for the engagement and wedding band, on 14-karat white gold. The set is $3000. I'd like to be able to make some extra money to go toward this, and then to save to the eventual wedding. I'm also looking for some sort of mentorship or guidance. I have zero business experience beyond being an office assistant. I'm easily coachable and learn quickly, especially if someone personally explains something to me or shows me how to do something.
I realize that a business like this takes time to grow. Any business does. I'm not expecting to be driving a ferrari tomorrow. Or in 5 years. Or ever for that matter (it would be nice though!) But it's seems an overwhelming and extremely daunting endeavor, and all this new information would be a little easier to swallow hearing it from someone who has personally had success.
