You are the only one who will make you successful. You can get all the training, mentoring and hand holding, but if you do not apply the knowledge learned, positive thinking, and goal setting, you will not be successful.
Success is what you make it. If success means to you to be able to put an extra $1000 a month in the bank, you are successful. If it's to purchase a new car, you are successful. If it's to make a six figure income a year, you are successful.
No matter what your success is, if you set that goal and reach it, you are successful. No goal is too high. Your goals are your own. If your goal is to be a millionaire in five years, go for it. Don't ever let someone tell you that you set your standards too high. It's never too high, unless you don't set it.
Go for your dreams, set your goals and reach whatever goals you set.
To your massive success, Michelle

I agree Michelle. Far too often, people want to place blame on anything other than themselves for their failures. I believe any individual can be successful if they set their mind to it and refuse to accept losing as an option.

That's my motto. Failure is not an option.

Great advice! The main thing I find in being able to succeed is to stay focused. Go to a quiet place to do your work and turn off the phone and blinking email attention getters and any other possible distractions you can think of. Write down a plan of action and set a time limit to complete it. If you don't complete it in that time, DO NOT beat yourself up over it. Simply finish the task at a later time. The key here is NOT to multi-task. You may think you are being more efficient by multi-tasking but you are actually taking away from valuable concentration by doing that.
Setting and completing tasks is far more productive and beneficial to your business and will actually free you up to concentrate on more money making ideas. As far as "failure" just remember what Thomas Edison said when someone asked him why he persisted in making a light bulb after failing 10,000 times. His reply was " I didn't fail 10,000 times, I just found 10,000 ways NOT to make a light bulb! "

That's what I live by.......Failure is not an option, the only way to fail is to quit. It has brought me through the hard times and now I'm having success and just keep pushing higher. There's no limit as far as I'm concerned. The only limitation would be the one that I put in my head and I just don't do it and won't let other people influence me, either.
Very good post! Thanks for sharing it.

I think far too many people have a negative view of what failure is. If you try something, and it doesn't work out, there's no need to feel bad about it. Treat it as a learning experience and move on. At least you know how NOT to go about it (like the Edison example above).
I think this fear and disgust of failure has its roots in the school system. When I was a kid in school I used to get a smiley face or a sticker if I did well on my work, and nothing or even a frown if I did poorly. So I'm supposed to be happy when I succeed and unhappy when I fail?
Changing these beliefs can be tough, but it's possible. I recommend EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).

Thomas Edison was so true on what he was saying. More people need tosee it that way. The glass is not half empty, it's half full.

Thanks for the reply. You're right as far as school goes. My daughter get's the "Happy Face" when she does well and zip when she does not so well. When that happens, I ask her "did you do your best?" If that was her best, she did well. We should all learn by our mistakes and not repete them. You do not fail by the mistake made, but become stronger because the mistake was made.

I agree with the earlier posts that failure is not an option. There will be set backs, but that is part of the learning curve, not a failure. Everyone owes it to themselves to be successful.

Thank you, I agree. With the gas prices rising and now they're sayong by the end of this year, it will hit between $5 and $7 a gallon, more & more people will be down in the dumps. Do not get yourself down. Do what you can to change your financial situation for the better. The way you think will make or break you. Go for the gusto I say!
