Our readiness to succeed in achieving our desired goal can be predicated on our ability to answer to the question of "why" we want to reach the goal. The underlying reasons, beliefs and values are meant to form a great chunk of our core motivating factor and are the driving force for ultimate release of our self potentials and personality. It means that basically our attitudes and zeal to succeed are the external expression of what is going on internally which could have evolved out of hurt, needs or aspirations.

To build the right attitude, we must try to discover our "why" if we genuinely want to achieve our desired destination. Attitude comes from expectations and expectations comes from beliefs, rational motives and values. We should be convinced of the reason for our dreams before developing the passion to chase after it. For what shall it profit a man if he chases after something without cause. Dream the reasons 'why' before you chase after your ultimate desire, never chase before you dream!

To your massive success,
Michelle

I absolutely agree it is so important to consider the WHY in determining the WHAT. It has been a driving force for me and one of my core belief systems.

It is good to know...my WHY and use it to fuel me toward my intended destination.

Nice point Michelle, I also use the same theory to keep myself motivated. Besides that, I also increase the power of my "WHY" by putting myself in a condition where I have no choice but have to move on. I believe this is the strongest "WHY" for us

You ROCK Michelle
Great post!
When you get your "why" handled then your "how" becomes simple.

Finding your "Why" your "How" will follow. Your "Why" lies within you. Reaching it, may feel like a far away place. Once reached, the sky's the limit!

To your massive success,
Michelle

I know I've sat down at various points and thought of the "why". One thing that can help is to remind yourself of your why and to take time occasionally to make sure you still want that why. Though I think the true whys will rarely change shape.

Finding your "Why" your "How" will follow.

You've spoken a mouthful, Michelle!

There is a magical connection that links our "why" to the final outcome. That connection - our "how" - is like an umbilical cord of possibilities that the Universe makes available to us in silent and often subtle ways.

Bubbling deep inside each of us is a fountainhead of desire that threatens to push us beyond our present circumstances to reach for something greater. It's part of the human need to grow, develop and experience in an ever expanding sphere.

Our "why" or purpose, is the fuel that feeds the fire of desire which is what drives us to fulfill our ambitions. Once those two aspects have been firmly established, the details (the how) will be revealed to us. Our job then is to walk by faith (take action and trust there'll be a positive outcome) and remain attentive to the Silent Guide who directs our path.

Hermas, leave it to you to spirtualize this, LOL! Not that I disaggre with you, quite the opposite. I am always inspired by what you write.

To add to this thread, here's a bit of old fashioned wisdom. Once you have gotten in touch with your "why," write it down. Tape it to your refrigerator door or your bathroom mirror, somewhere that will put it in front of your face every single day. Remind yourself of that "why" frequently, recite it to yourself, meditate on it, focus on it. As Hermas said, it's the source that will fuel your success.

I was watching a Sports Center piece on Michael Phelps, whom I consider to be probably the greatest competitive swimmer alive, perhaps ever. Mark Spitz says that he is. Michael has his goals written on a piece of paper on his nightstand. He looks at them every night before he goes to sleep, and every day before he gets out of bed. He focuses on his dream, his goals, his "why," at least twice each and every day.

I believe if a person's "why" is powerful enough, they will find success in whatever endeavor they undertake. Great post, people.

This is a great post.

When I 1st started in this marketing business, there were alot of things missing from my mental toolbox to really kickstart my success. For a looong time i thought making money was the real reason why I wanted it.

Yet, I meditated and studyed on the subject from various success authors and discovered immediately what my why is.

Everybody's why is different. Mines is to help and add value to as many people as I can while making a fortune doing it.

If you help enough people get what they want, enough people will inevitably help you get what you want.

That.s a good point about helping other people; it shouldn't be greed that drives a person. Your "whys" should also be written down next to your goals.

You are absolutely right, we have to know our WHY.

Success is Thinking, Visualizing, Planning, and Finally Taking Action!!!

That's it,
Know your WHY, think about it deeply, visualize it, prepare a plan, then take action!!!!!

To your success,
Yonelia,
