I have been scanning this forum for quite some time, checking out different survey sites. The reason I signed up today is because I actually got my first payout today.

I use quite a few survey sites but I have ever only got to the cash out point on one. Does it seem that some sites make it near impossible to reach the cashout point?

The site I use pays in reward vouchers, whatever voucher you want but I tend to have itunes vouchers as I seem to spend alot on my iphone. And we had a e-mail the other day saying that paypal payments are coming soon with a 5 min payout.

As this is my forst post I will not post my affiliate ID as I find that cheeky.

The site is www.mysurveysite.co.uk and has surveys for pretty much all the world.

I hope my first post helps a few people out.

In my experience, I tried to do paid surveys quite extensively at one point, and only earned $5 for all of my efforts. In my opinion, which was formed through my research and experience, they are a waste of time, but some people will tell you differently...

I believe this is the standard with which these survey sites operate. In my opinion, it's a lot of work for very little (if any) pay. I do not know anyone that has made money taking online surveys.

It can be good money at some times, and at others it can't. Will you get rich from paid surveys? Obviously not (and anyone dreaming that paid surveys will pull them out of the hole is clearly in for a reality check), but they can help you earn extra cash here and there.

My wife fooled with surveys for a bit ...until she did a little math and realized the best she was able to earn was the equivalent of $6 an hour.

Needless to say, I think she's worth far more than that.
So does she...

I'm sure there's some Super Secret Survey Site out there somewhere that has the potential to earn big bucks. I just don't have the time or inclination to search for it.

I did some surveys in the past and yes the standard in survey sites is that you never reach payout.

The only surveys I got paid for were done by local market reserach companies. They start by calling and asking if they can get me through a survey on the phone. I usually ask "what's in it for me". Some direct my call to a supervisor or a manager (whatever) and arrange for an appointment to fill the survey manually and give me my check after I hand it back to them.

As Paul DArcy's wife realized, I was making around $10/hour, which is the minimum wage where I live. Not what I went to school 26 years for.

It depends on what website you join. There are many that have payouts that are easily reached in a couple of weeks.
