I deleted my gmail account because I was so swamped with spam, and..............my pc was running like a slug. I then downloaded some good anti virus, spyware, malware and adware programs. Now I am enjoying my pc again. I have a new email and I still have all my info on what companies I have signed with(about 33). I am so paranoid about these dang companies!!! Some say some are good and others say they're not. I just want to know what the "pro's" on here are using to keep their emails "as spam free" as possible and...........to detect the malware, adware, spyware? Here are the programs I am running now. Opinions welcome(might as well invite them I'll get them anyway, LOLLLLLLLL!!!) Just kiddin, I want your feedback, the good, bad and the ugly. I WANT TO DO SURVEYS AND I AM NOT GIVING UP!!!!!!!!

Hi oregoncountry,
I've been an active survey panelist for almost a year now and I don't have any problem with spam from any of the survey sites I am with.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post ... lol, but if you're saying you had received spam from the survey companies you are a member of ... then I'd have to say, "hmmmm ..." because you shouldn't be receiving spam like that from your survey companies.
I've not experienced that at all. I just receive plenty of authentic survey invitations as I'm supposed to.
I can appreciate your "not giving up" attitude about doing surveys ... lol. I enjoy doing them too!

I appreciate your input, both of you, but I'll wait til someone comes along that has experienced the same problem
That's great by the way, that you haven't.

The only lesson that I have learnt to keep your email spam free is never give it in any web forms. Many websites claim that they don't spam buy they sell your emails.
Give only to reliable websites. Then if you have a website and wanted to give your customers your email use this format => name[at]email[dot]com. This is because many spam robots crawl the web for emails and if you have your email in the text format, they will pull and start sending all nonsense. You could also consider using a image of your email rather the text.
You could you Kaspersky internet security to prevent spam. But you have to train the system for non spam emails.

thank you Samuel, I have been thinking about Kapersky but if I liked it and it really did well I am not sure I could pay for when the trial is up. So I'll stick with the AVG free for now atleast. Good info on the email. I have signed up for the companies people here have recommended. I don't know how I could prove or disprove those companies "sell" my email. I think the best way to go is like you said, use a good "spam blocker" so I will just load my pc up with the best I can get for now.
Thank you again for your input denise in Sams Valley OR

Hello again Denise, I currently use AVG FREE and have no problems with it. Also I use a free yahoo account for my surveys only. Out of all the survey companies I have signed up with in the past year and a half, I found many that will spam you. Yahoo does a good job as far as keeping the spam in the spam folder. Just to let you know.... we have all been through this. I was wondering which sites you have signed up with? Maybe I can give some insight if I have tried them so far. P.S. Don't worry ...... You are not a pain. Tom

Did you sign up any offers (free and paid)? If yes, you might get lot of spam. If you only join real legitimate paid survey sites, you shouldn't get any spam.
