Of all the personal development books and CDs available today is there any one that really stands out for you? Is there one that you absolutely could not be without?
For me the book that had the most impact was The Success Principles by Jack Canfield is that book. It's packed full of great information, but I particularly love what he says about taking personal responsibility and about goal setting. He believes when we set goals we need to have ones that will make us stretch and grow as a person.
My all time favorite CD is The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale. It was the first time I could remember someone actually say "we become what we think about".... and it really was life changing for me.

As far as personal development, it has to be Uncommon by Tony Dungy. Sometime in the future i will read Think and Grow Rich.

"Think and Grow Rich" and "Master Key to Riches" both by Napoleon Hill.
I read some of them every week and they keep me on the straight and narrow path to working at my business...which is slowly succeeding.
Best Wishes Sidney

Hey Shaun, great question. I have more great books to add to my reading list.
One I am reading now is "The Art of Possibility" by Rosamund Stone Zander. The book is about how to create and engage new possibilities in life and not get stuck in our own programmed way of looking at things.
It's opening my eyes.

I started out with "How to Win Friends and Influence People." This book taught me so much about human relations and gave me confidence to communicate more easily with people.

Out of all the successful books that I read over the years and it has been many of them, the one that really made a huge difference is called:
What to say when you talk to yourself By Shad Helmstetter.
I thought that other books were the best but this one is the best because you can do everything right in life or in business but if you have a bad attitude, things will not work for you like you want them too.

I can't point to a particular book as the one that has influenced me the most. I have read many great books that made an impact on me for one reason or another. What's notable is that they all essentially discuss the same universal ideas, concepts and practices, just presented differently.
Here is a short list of some books I've read over the years that have shaped my thinking:
1. Think and Grow Rich - Napolean Hill 2. The Law of Success - Napolean Hill 3. The Richest Man in Babylon - George Classon 4. The Richest Man Who Ever Lived - Steven K. Scott 5. The Instant Millionaire - Mark Fisher 6. The Greatest Salesman in the World - Og Mandino 7. The Science Of Getting Rich - Wallace D. Wattles 8. As a Man Thinketh - James Allen 9. Awakened Imagination - Neville 10. The Power of Awareness - Neville

Life's Golden Ticket by Brendon Burchard
quote from Jack Canfield, "A powerful parable of loss, love, and redemption that will stir the souls of it's readers. Burchard has crafted something eternal here."

For me, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" started it all about 4 and half years ago...I will also add "Think and Grow Rich" to that kind of angle of self-empowerment and waking up.
Along the way, I've reading a LOT more about specific stuff required for my businesses...
