I think whatever you are good or want to do just go for it and never quit. It is not easy when you are just starting out so just take even some sort of small action and never quit.

Personally I like the combination of online mlm and offline mlm and in online mlm you promote other leader's products also so it is pretty much affiliate marketing included it. So online mlm serves both purposes for me.

Both MLM and affiliate marketing have their own benefits ... and
of course there also have drawbacks too ...

Just Tal says, combine both and create a sale funnel, then you
can earn multiple stream of incomes.

What I am doing now is concentrate to build my own list
and recommend the suitable affiliated products and
business opportunities to my subscribers

I'm a fan of network marketing. I don't think that there's a certain personality type that it only works for(although cholerics have an advantage). Anyone can develop the skills it takes to build a network marketing business. It just means you have to work on yourself. It means you have to consistently work to develop the right habits. Of course you didn't become who you are in a day, so change just takes time.

For what it's worth, I have a naturally melancholic disposition. That's possibly the worst for MLM.

I definitely prefer affiliate marketing over MLM. I guess it depends on the individual, but that is my opinion.

I think it depends upon your personality. I HATE MLM because there is so much hype and dishonesty. My experience has been that most MLMer's are not really promoting their products as much as just trying to fill their down lines. On the other hand, my wife loves MLM because she loves to socialize with people.

I'm just learning about Affiliate Marketing, but so far it looks like it's more up my alley.

One other thing about affiliate marketing... you can remain anonymous for the most part. MLM usually requires those goofy meetings in your living room. I'll take Affiliate Marketing every time!

I definitely like network marketing / MLM much better than affiliate marketing. In my opinion, network marketing, if done properly, will help you build a long-term residual income. The main reason for this is the program, by its nature, makes you build relationships with others in the business, especially your upline and downline. It's these relationships that keep people in the business and buying the product. I think the short-term benifits of affiliate programs are reasonably good, but I'd much rather invest my time into building a network marketing business. Especially nowadays when the business has evolved so much. You don't need to have home meetings, weekly pep rallies, make a list of friends and family, or buy leads. This makes it much simpler for average people to succeed.

So i take it you don't like the 'fake it till you make it' theory, either?!

Nevertheless, there are people, like Matt, for example, that are straight forward and honest - and your wife - and they do just fine with it.

I just think it's cool that we have the option to pick what fits us best.

I really don't see any reason why we can't participate in both. They both take time to learn. They both can be quite lucrative. The key, though, as with all good things in life, is to invest the proper amount of time building traffic over to your affiliate pgms you've decided to promote, as well as to properly your MLM biz offline and online. If you work it, it works, if you don't, it don't

There's hype and dishonesty in all walks of life, it has nothing to do with network marketing itself.

A powerful networking home income opportunity is about establishing a network where leverage works for you. You job uses leverage to make money - you the employ are the leverage of the founders, ceos, etc.

Problem is most have gotten into the greatest product chase of mlm and that just makes you a sales person. Which is what affiliate marketing is a direct sales person for someone who is using leverage by having multiple affiliates.

Doing both can be cool but doing just one - affiliate marketing is just a daily rise to take on a new hustle to eat. You are only as good as your last sale.

Once you experience a residual income check from leveraging your time and efforts where others have a fair chance to do the same you'll never go back
