I am involved in MLM but I just got started with Carbon Copy Pro. The compensation is better than any MLM I have found and futhermore there is no selling which is something I like very much. I can't really be ok with continuing to try and sell people on a product even if it is something I really believe in. The bottom line with any MLM is that you will be continually selling and talking to people. That is just the nature of the business.
Take it from someone that has experience in MLM. Check out what I have learned recently about attraction and affiliate marketing as a better business than my MLM business. If I can help please let me know.

Another key to a successful downline would be to not tell your recruits that your company statistically will fail, and most all people who they sign up will quit as well. Ignorance and deception are critical. You must sell them on either
1) they will easily become rich, as well as all they sign up, or 2) they will be a rugged business owner who will also become rich.
Neither are true. Statistically you will not become rich, and not just because you lack the willpower to sell you latest craze to friends and family. Your company will likely go belly-up in 2-4 years, and all the people you recruited will be stranded.
And of course, you are not a small business owner. You are paying a company to sell their products, and getting paid for finding other people willing to do the same.
This will not be a popular post, but truth trumps my desire to be popular.

oh - and there are so many 'helpful' people on this forum, who will gladly let you in on their 'secret' way that they have had 'success' with. Sound fishy?

Sounds like people with a lot of experience here. I recently became involved in a MLM business and initially I thought it was great because it has things others lacked.
But I find that I can get people to look at it,and in 3 weeks have had over 100 hits, but I can't seem to get anyone else involved.
This is making me doubt myself. Also there is NO upline support, which I find frustrating, and even my sponsor is too busy to offer support, but she is also new.
Anyone have any ideas?

Laurence,
You bring up a good point here.
laurencewins: But I find that I can get people to look at it,and in 3 weeks have had over 100 hits, but I can't seem to get anyone else involved. The first thing I want to ask you is are you using a replicated website system that was given to you by your mlm company? If you are then you will most likely continue to see alot of these hits with nothing to show. The problem with these systems is they are not usually search engine friendly. These systems also make it more difficult for us to build a relationship with our prospect because it doesn't capture their vital information, which is their name and email address. I have been working with some of the best marketers in the mlm and internet marketing industry. They have all said the same thing which is get their info then build the a relationship.
I would love to help you out with this in any way possible. Let me know The problem with this is they are not getting the big picture

Hi Mike,
I have actually decided to stop doing the mlm I was involved with because of the reasons you mention and a few others as well.
I have come across a much better business and am just starting to set myself up in it. It does agree with the policy of marketing the person b4 the product and is a whole lot easier to follow if you just go step by step. They also have genuine support via a forum and live help and the replies are very quick.
I will let people know more when I am more organised.

what i started doing now is using the facebook for my mlm. I have done a Facebook Group only for the members of my downline and for my sponsors where we all meet and exchange ideas. It is especially usefull when the downline is international, like in my case.
If anybody needs more info on how I do it, pls message me
By the way, just a quick comment to this:
BHP: Your company will likely go belly-up in 2-4 years, and all the people you recruited will be stranded. You might be right at some point, but I am quite happy with the company I am. Just over 5 years old and booming

An important aspect of any business is leading by example. Don't expect your team to do something that you would not do. Keep in touch with your downline and help motivate them. Those are all things I do when building a business.

The main key is to mass market. You then want to foster duplication and leverage. That is how you build a huge team and a multiple six figure income. I love voice broadcasting to present day mlm genealogy lists. I know these people are buyers and are in need of my tools and services. I then use telemarketers, virtual assts, and call centers to leverage my time. I ONLY speak with qualified leads or aces who are eager to learn more about my business. Then I spend my time closing them and signing them up and teaching them how to use the same system I brought them in on . Success to all.

There are marketers and there are peddlers. Peddlers push products by touting their benefits to all who will listen; marketers listen to determine the needs of the customer and then provide a solution.
Are you a marketer or a peddler?
Peddlers make most of their income from personal sales while marketers make most of their income from sales of others.
If you want to build a successful marketing organization then you need to learn to market so that you can teach and lead others.

One of the keys to building a successful downline is to not give up. Too many people give on their MLM program too soon and jump to the next best thing.
My belief is that you have to decide how long you are going to give it to meet your requirements and learn everything you need to in order to be successful. I have a very successful upline and he always talks about putting on the blinders and focusing on your business as a business.
I am currently involved in a program whose services I use myself and love them so I'm giving it a 5 year plan. There's no big hurry here since I use the product myself and it pays for itself over and over. I'm in another program and I have given it a 12 month plan. I beleive this one should generate what I am looking for sooner than later. I also use the products but can live without them if I decide not to stay with the program.
Also automating your business is a must. You must have a duplicatable marketing system you can plug your people in so they can generate success quickly.
Thank You!

To become success in MLM or network marketing we should have a strong vision of success. Do not be interfered by unnecessary distraction, just focus on your way..(=^.^=)..

I have been looking through the responses in these posts and just have a couple of things to add. The people that fail in MLM or network marketing do so because they expect to make money just for joining. You MUST be willing to work and learn to do things you might not feel comfortable with right away. If you consistently market, EVERY DAY, using PROVEN marketing methods...you can succeed!

I believe that a lot of the failure in MLM comes from distributors being taught to make a list of all their friends, family, co-workers and everyone they come into contact with. If this is the main method someone uses to build their MLM biz - most of them are destined to fail.
When they fail using the three foot rule, then many are encouraged to buy leads and the majority will fail using leads too. I don't think quality leads exist except those that you generate yourself.
One needs to learn other more effective means of reaching out to prospective customers and business builders.

You are exactly right! In my company too many people expect their upline to place people under them. Although this does happen because of the structure, There's no such thing as a free lunch. Get out there and get to work!
