Hi wealthymom36
Let them go if they wish ...make room and time for new downline members who really want your help and the business. Id also say have a look at how you are getting your reps and look at honing your prospecting to attract a better type of downline ie ones that dont quit. I also recommend saying NO to prospects. Thats right I said NO. If you dont think they have what it takes dont sponsor them...dont waste YOUR time. Amazing what happens when you say NO I will not sponsor you...they see working with you as something so much more valuable then.
Dont lose sleep over those who cancel..they'll only hop to the next "opportunity" and probably quit that too because they dont treat it as a business. Best of Luck Shaun
Ive just noticed that Im responding to a post from 2006...oops Oh well my sentiment still stands !!

Wealthymom36; you need the FREE report that I found that does all the marketing, communication, and educating to your downline, plus it will promote your primary business for you. The best thing is it's FREE!
Good luck

You should, You Need , No one NEEDS another FRee report
Terrible way to "attract"
What new people need is someone to personally help them.
Better to attract people who want to spend money to conduct a business than collect a list of names of people who want stuff for free.

I love ezines because they are free and targeted. I think one thing to keep in mind when marketing your mlm business is you are not selling them a spot in your company, you can not treat them like a number. They are looking for a solution and we are here to give it to them, and show them how to do the same.
The second you view yourself as a giver of solutions you will go far in this business.

I feel the best way to build your downline has to include the internet. What i mean is having knowledge on the legit lead companies. you have to utilize the services out there. What do you think?

Hey Guys,
Great advice from everyone. In the end everyone here is right as we all use different techniques to attract people. Everyone can say their way is better than another and they are right because that certain technique is better for them because of their attitude and personality. Your attitude and personality however might not drive with a certain marketing technique. I prefer to try and keep things fresh for me. Even if it's not a technique I am comfortable with I will still try it because it may still attract certain clients. Some of the best techniques for me have been using really inexpensive drop cards from vista print. There cheep and with a catchy card you can at least get some people to contact you. I manage to get a response rate of usually 15-18 people who will contact my travel site and leave their info.

Hi
I think for downline building you gotta chose right downline business service like home office pro or something.I have started downline with home office pro and become successful.
So, you gotta choose the right downline builder service.

I agree with you. To build your downline you have to choose the right Downline Builder Services. I prefer to choose services like home office pro or something like response magic or whatever you choose. But it is the key for donline building.

There is no one key to build a successful downline in MLM. Though building relationship and maintaining communication are important, there must be monetary gains to the downline for members to stay on. MLM is not operating on voluntary basis, right?
I work as a grassroot leader and I know a few outstanding grassroot leaders who could muster a few hundred of volunteers. But, they are not successful at all when put into MLM setup.

hi angeladaviss You'll find a blatant sales pitch as a forum post will inevitably get you ignored. Try coming here and ofer some help and answer peoples questions ...save the blatant sales pitch because it will not attract but repel customers although telling you this is probably a aste of time as i suspect your post was "outsourced"

So sorry, the term "grassroot leaders" may be more commonly used in my country than other countries. It means local leaders among the local residents of a community.

It does definately help to have a good downline management software to work with. My company had one built in which was nice. I recently have tried to increase my internet promotions and i'm going to give it some time.
Does anyone buy leads online and call people? Does this work? I've thought about hiring someone to make these calls for me, etc. What have you seen work?

ZriiProsper Ill be be blunt ..no, buying leads does not work..cold calling is a terrible way to build a downline. People hate being sold to in this way and you'll end up spending lots of money. If you are interested in building a downline using the internet you will need to learn all about "sales funnels" and "funded proposals" as well as personal branding. My suggestion would be to generate your own leads that are specifically targeted to what you are offering. Have you had experience building a list - Im NOT refering to the type of "list" you get told to write in MLM (100 names of friends & family, this doesnt work either incidentally)- Im refering to you list building of qualified leads specifically targeted through capture pages online.
WHat works you ask MARKETING is king. If you don't know how to market you don't have a business, it's as simple as that.
And that's exactly the reason I failed with my previous two home business companies, before I was lucky enough to find the world's top home business.
Back then I didn't have the first idea about marketing. And the company's idea of a "training program" was to sell me leads and provide me with a script to use on everyone I met.
It makes me feel quite sick, looking back.
What I love about the marketing training provided by the business I'm lucky enough to be in now is that it takes the form of an online marketing course. It's like a home study pack which you can follow at your own pace, with live coaching calls.
As you'd expect from any half-decent online marketing course, it covers all the bases:
Search Engine Optimization or SEO
Blogging
Forum Marketing
Article Marketing
Video Marketing
Press Release Marketing
Social Media Marketing
Classified Ads Online And Offline
Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Banner Advertising
Direct Mail Marketing
These are all proven, "solid" marketing methods. I would advise against buying leads, buying hits to your website and viral marketing of the kind where "you look at my website and I'll look at yours".
All of these attract either no leads at all or poor quality leads.
Hope this is food for thought.

Hi,
If the MLM involves promoting physical products, then, take care you're not worn down by these products as you go more and more successful.
There is an Amway top sales person in China who decided to quit - after sitting on thousands dollars worth of products. He chose to start afresh in something completely different, without the inventory and storage problems associated with products-MLM opportunity. Now, he doesn't even have to hype about products.
He just shows facts and figures how the money come in daily.
Bye

I make sure to keep in contact with my downline. I have a monthly newsletter to keep them apprised of any specials going on or important information, and I often send them cards as well.

It's seems to boil down to belief and leadership. You need to have a strong belief in the company and products or services. A strong upline with multiple leaders is a must I think. No one can be an island in network marketing and have a chance of doing well. Peace.

I think when your trying to get people to join your downline you have to try and sell them on you not on the company you want to them join. Its been my experience that people join people not company's.
