Is Video Marketing Taking Over The Marketplace?

With newer trends and things always emerging into our marketplace, I was wondering how many of you were aware of video marketing. How many of you use it and what kind of results have you gotten?

In my personal experience I have found it to be quite effective. People are able to relate to the person in the videos a little more because they can see and hear the person behind the message. I think that it is a great way to be able to reach out and help people as well.

I have done a few videos, and it is definately effective. I think it will be more effective when everyone gets off of dialup, because videos often take a while to load if you don't have a fast connection.

Hi Breanne,

It's big and effective. You might consider purchasing Camtasia and perhaps even investing in a video camera. Both of them are on my to do list in the near future.

Yes camtasia is really cool software. I use it all the time to make tutorial video's and things of that nature.

Also getagrip is right about the whole dial-up connection. After switching to cable I don't think that I could ever be able to go back. You definitely need a high speed connection to put video's on line or do much of anything else nowadays.

I gues I'm a little old fashioned. I don't know if I like all these new videos. If I want to learn about something I would rather read about it. I can read faster than I can listen. I still have dial-up because I'm cheap so it's easier for me to load, (and save), print. Video is ok if you just want to watch something funny.

I think that is a matter of learning styles. Some are auditory, some visual, and some kinesthetic. A good marketer shouldn't be self limiting. With the TV/internet age video is just a fact of life.

Videos are the way to go. They are quick, easy, and fun. They also bring you massive amounts of traffic. Consider them as little money trees. They are always out there ready to make you money. The same things with blogs and other forms of advertising.

Breanne,

Video Marketing IS the dominant marketing approach right now.

TRY THIS SCENARIO ON FOR SIZE:

You make 1 video that has your marketing message in it. You put it on youtube and it gets 50 views per day. If you are like me, you then upload it to Traffic Geyser which puts it on 30 OTHER wildly popular video sites. Let's say you get half the views on each of those sites. That is roughly 800 views per day. 30 days in a month.

24000 Views of your marketing message....FREE.

Now, go to Google Adwords and try to recreate that traffic.

And bring your checkbook and a home equity line. You will need both.

My students DOMINATE Google for competitive search terms and their phones ring off the hook. Mostly from knowing how to put together effective video marketing campaigns.

Wait until Google's "Android" hits mainstream. And all mobile phone systems worldwide are searching Google. Search engine traffic will triple within a 1 year period. Video marketers are going to clean up as their marketing message gets even more attractive (mobile phones are very small) vs. tough to read articles and websites.

I got to go and put on some shades...future is just too bright!

All of these numbers are fantastic.

All of the technology that is being introduced into the
MLM industry to generate new leads is exciting.

But we MUST not lose sight of the fact of one thing....

None of this means anything if we don't brand ourselves
properly.

Because people choose people, we all must make sure
that no matter what technology we incorporate into our
marketing mix, you must make prospects want to join YOU
first. The MLM recruiting opportunity will naturally follow.

I have always found it easier to brand myself first to be
the conduit between where the prospect is now and
where they want to go and this is very easily done
through video.

We must break away from diminishing ourselves and
promoting our MLM and do the opposite.

I am happy you have turned the conversation this way. This is so true. Ultimately the idea should be to brand yourself with any content that you post on the web. Video's are just one block in the mix.

Branding yourself is what will help you become successful long term on the internet. Establishing yourself as an authority figure will show your leadership and people will follow you. Especially if you brand yourself as someone who truly wants to add value to the marketplace and lead others to success.

Business' come and go. People are the only constant and if you can brand yourself and lead people to success they will follow you for life. You are your business not your company.

I've had this conversation with other people and most of us agree that the older you are the less interested you are in videos and video marketing.

I like what Kevin said in a few posts above this one in that branding is really the key to marketing online. If you brand yourself properly you can do it through many different ways without ever using a video.

Hey!

Great thread here. I believe in video marketing and have strictly done that. If you have not seen tube mogul yet... I suggest using them to get your video "out there" I am looking to break out of the only doing video marketing... any suggestions? I do NOT want articles, blogs, myspace, facebook, ezines, solo ads, safelists...lol I know I know... There is a way of marketing I know is out there that i have just not tapped into yet - any suggestions?

I recommend that, if you want to stand out from the crowd, get yourself a decent webcam. Too many videos are of very poor quality and can be tough to watch. Forget about using your cell phone camera!

There are some hi-def webcams that, although they cost a bit more, are worth it because of their higher picture quality.

Remember, you don't want to brand yourself as cheap!!! lol

Pictures paint a thousand words, so what does video do?

I migrated from text Emails to Video Emails 18 months ago and instantly improved my sales conversion rates by 20% simply by the wow factor and getting my message to the person, not them having to find me.

It is inevitable that Video email will replace text over the next few years as TV took over from radio.

It has not "taken over" but it is a method which can
be useful if used effectively, an advantage for some and
for others an opportunity to make errors of presentation.

Video CAN be good for your business - the real key
is to know the market demographic you are going after
and use whatever media is appropriate - some people
respond better to written content, some to visual
stimulation, and others to audio. We all respond to
all three of course and with skill they can be interwoven
to give each viewer a more satisfying experience of
our marketing processes.

I don't think video email will take off for a long time
yet - because of email client blockages - but links
to videos in emails often show favorable response.

I've embedded animated GIF files in emails and the
effect is pretty darn cool... and doesn't take a ton
of bandwidth like real embedded videos (which as
I mentioned, are blocked by the vast majority of
email clients due to file size and format).

I take in what you say, but I don't think you are up to speed on the Video Email technology.

Firstly there is no file size as a Video Email is sent exactly the same as a text email. With no need for attachments, downloads or additional software.

Also when I send a Video Email it first checks to see if the receiving computer is a PC or MAC, then checks it's connection speed and then streams the video in a format and speed that gives optimum viewing to the recipient.

To explain why most of my Video Emails reach their target, read this FAQ:

Why would a Talk Fusion Video Email go into the Junk folder?

Talk Fusion does not guarantee that a Video Email will never go to the SPAM folder. No company in the world can guarantee EVERY email they send will always be delivered directly to the inbox and not the SPAM folder, on occasion. At times, over-aggressive SPAM filters can route a legitimate email to the SPAM folder. What that means is a SPAM filter is set too high and it is causing a "false positive". Simply, it is incorrectly interpreting a legitimate email as possible SPAM. An over-aggressive SPAM filter can block any email; regardless of how legitimate it is. Talk Fusion goes to great measures and expenses to ensure we have the highest delivery rate possible. We are a Return Path Sender Score Certified sender of Video Emails which enables us to increase delivery rates at 40% of all mail boxes. This designation allows us to effectively send and deliver millions of Video Emails, all around the world, every day.

Can Talk Fusion guarantee that every Video Email I send will be delivered?

No company can honestly make the claim that every single email sent will be delivered. Talk Fusion works tirelessly to ensure the highest possible deliverability rate and currently ranks in the top 1% of all commercial email companies in the world.

How does Talk Fusion's deliverability rank, on average, according to leading SPAM assessment tools?

SPAM Assassin is the assessment tool used by most leading ISPs. A sender that ranks over five on the SPAM Assassin scale may have deliverability issues. The average Talk Fusion Video Email scores an amazing -5.3 on the SPAM Assassin scale, indicating an incredibly high deliverability rate.

Another advantage of Video over text is not just for marketing, but as a training tool, if you have a team around the country or around the world you can train them from your home or office, a great advantage in a Home Based Business and a major money saver in travel and hotel costs.
