What kind of "holiday networking" do you do? It's the perfect time of year when we see our friends and family. Are you they type of person that avoids talking about your business because you think you'll scare your family off, or do you jump all over them? Hopefully it's somewhere in between.

I'm curious...what do you use as an approach?

lol - I prefer to stick with people online - your friends and family aren't going to join you in business anyways, until they see you making lots of money - which at that point , they ASK YOU what it is that you do.

So my advice to you is to enjoy your holidays and family - and don't mix the two.

Personally I keep friends and family out of the picture in terms of a business I'm trying to pop off. Until I see results, I won't even mention a thing to them, mainly because their all pessimistic about the online marketing. The only words they use for anything online is "pyramid scheme". It pisses me off because for some reason they all think that anything you get into online your gonna get ripped off. Thats not true, but you've got to watch for those who try to scam.
That is why I don't tell anyone. It's like drinking whiskey and schnapps all in the same night. They just don't mix well.

I'd have to agree raaron. Often, family tend to criticize business opportunities that you may find worth a try. However, it never hurts to give something a try during the happiest season of all. This is the season that all people are searching for things or looking for something new or that New Years Resolution.

One thing that you could try is giving a gift at a family gathering that allows you to attach objects. A miniature christmas tree is a good gift to put small packets, business cards, gift cards, or coupons in. Also, try getting a miniature stocking that you can put the same stuff in and hand out to all of your family.

Just be creative and remember: 'tis the season!

A holiday is for you to enjoy. Don't mix them together.
