bwhudson: I don't know if its possible. Has anyone out there successfully recruited a new associate through the internet? Can it be done? It can definately be done. It is though not so easy as it looks. First of all you need a functional webpage, which will promote your business opportunity and most important, you need a way to contact your prospect.
With contact, I do not mean e-mail (an e-mail can be easily deleted). The best is to find a way to have him live, even if that means over the phone.
Otherwise it is very difficult to make somebody join only through a webpage.

I've recruited many people online. Once they have filled out our information I do call them to let them know I am a real person and there to answer questions. Follow up is the key regardless of how people are recruited.

I love the Internet for finding new people. I use my blog, CPC, sponsored ads, and others for 100% of my new team members and customers. I have been having great success. The others are right that the drop out rate is higher but I think you can have success in numbers because of how easily you can contact a ton of people.

In order to successfully recruit on the internet, you have to have systems for training and support in place for those that you do recruit online. We offer weekly webinars, conference calls, a training site, mentorship from the leaders, and even a lead co-op that you can buy into for all of our recruits. These are the features that attracted me to the Automatic Wealth Team in the first place. Having the support from your upline and the training in place for those you recruit is essential for your long term success,as well as the success of those you bring into your business.

I feel you need to use a combination of all of the methods you guys listed above but you also have to figure out which one you are best at. If you are still learning how to market on the internet then target your warm market. Also, you can't be afraid to pick up the phone. The phone is a valuable tool. Hopefully your business has a unique selling proposition so it will peak the interest of anyone who comes across it. It is a great time right now for home based businesses. People are looking to diversify and make some extra income streams.
So figure out how you market the best. Focus on that type of marketing with about 80% of you efforts for now and do the other things while you are looking for what works.

Hi BwHudson,
Yes, recruiting through the internet can be done. In my business program, I have recruited over 115 prospects through advertising and placing ads.
You just have to be persistant and consistant with your advertising. Social networks, free classifieds, safelists, ezines and solo ads have been very beneficial to my program. Hope this helps..

Recruiting online is done all day every day. It really just comes down to doing the things necessary to attract people to your business via online marketing such as articles, videos, forums and blogs. All of those things have brought me leads and sign ups for my online ventures.
However, offline marketing is very effective also, but often forgotten in this internet age.

Most certainly there are numerous success stories online.
My advice is get a site if you dont have one.
Have it optimized and start building backlinks to it using article marketing, blogs, directories, forums etc.
They this process takes time but will eventually pay off.

Internet marketing has become rather popular in recent years. Discovering how to attract prospects to your business can be fun and challeging all at the same time.
Here is 3 strategies to generate leads for your mlm or network marketing opportunity.
1. Add a good web form for subscribing to an "opt in" list. An opt in list requires the person recieving the email has already showed interest. Place this form on your site directly following your content.
2. Provide quality content that speaks to your reader and in a way that tickles there fancy without being over zealous. Having them subscribe allows you to began building a relationship.
3. Keep your list private. Afterall, integrity is your best attribute. With this list provide good products and services and your off to an awesome start!

You are doing exactly what you should be doing. Keep posting in forums and generating referrals. You have to keep your presence in forums and social network sites such as twitter and facebook.

Recruiting on the web is risky business and very time consuming. In this day and age i think it's best to advertise on sites like google and other places like facebook.Paid advertising is the best bargin for high returns. You can create a capture page and try getting back to these people but the bottom line is most sales are made while surfing and coming across an ad.

Bloggergold you are right when you say its best to advertise.......but ....the question here was "Has anyone successfully recruited through the internet?"
Recruiting is about people and relationships and meeting people on forums and twitter and the like build relationships. So does talking on the phone/skype. I think it requires both !
And in answer to your question bwhudson ...yes

Wow, It looks like you have gotten some great feed back already, I would just like to add this. The first thing you need to do is learn how to market online and then figure out what message you send out. The biggest mistake I see is this. People want to market their Company replicated site. What you need to realize is most people just do not care about your business. So do not lead your Marketing with your business. If used right the internet is a wonderful place to grow your Business.

I recruit from the internet, just as I was recruited from the internet. It can be done. Be patient, you will be overwhelmed with all the different suggestions and options available. Try all that you can... but find the one that works for you. How did you find out about the business you are involved in? That is where I started... I went right to the area that I was looking in when I discovered the business opportunity that fit what I was looking for. Training was important, so I looked for a company that provided training not by someone sitting in a corporate office but by someone who was sitting at home building their business, just like I was looking to do. I found it, and now am training others just like me.
Good Luck! Remember...stay motivated!
