trinden Inviting prospects to meetings is a waste of time. The presenter will probably have a board or a projecter and and show your prospect how many money they can make in a short period of time regardless of their background. In the real world of marketing it just doesn't happen that way. A key point to remember is to lead with your product or service and not the opportunity at first. Great customers make great downlines because they're sold on the product and will continue to use it. If you lead with the opportunity you will be lucky to hold 1 out of 10 in your group. However if you lead with product/service first you can reverse that. Not all customers will want to be in the business part but you can retain them as customers.
The other part of story is that if you obtain them as customers first you won't have to deal with the curse of "How Much Money Have You Made', when in fact you haven't made any.

Yes !! I thoroughly recommend you do home meetings! That way, when some of your guests get beligerent and challenge you and try to belittle you because they think your trying to get them into some sort of pyramid scheme, you can punch them in the face to prove your right.... This way the other people at the meeting who arent interested and had no idea what they were coming to when invited, aswell as having no business being in business, will join too !! JUst make sure your upline stands in the door way blocking their exit...works every time!

That was funny Shaun.
In reality many people still do live meetings. From hotel to home. Just because the internet has come, it has not stopped the traditional way of building a business, or made it not effective.
Live meetings can provide an atmosphere of realness and excitement that you can't be adequately conveyed online.
So you should work to do both, if that works for you. There is no one way to make it happen as to marketing, but you do have to market your business to make it happen.
I'll send you a personal message on an online marketing tools and training that you can considering trying. It has a free trial.
All the best, and also consider diversifying your home business income streams. The same as one would their retirement savings.

Thanks FreeCashGeeza
Thankfully after many many many home meetings/trainings in hotels etc I never actually punched anyone hahaha!
To be fair though I know people who still do home meetings etc and they like it, it suits them & they are successful! Good luck to them I say. Personally home meetings no longer "float my boat"
Online all the way I say !

The old way of doing network marketing works - but not for very many. Once you run out of friends and talking to everyone within 3 feet of you, what are you supposed to do?
You have to be able to generate more leads or your business is dead in the water. There are many ways to do this, even for free, by using the internet.
You don't have to chase people down and drag them to meetings, unless you want to

Using the Internet to grow an MLM business is NOT duplicatable. I have spent years learning this painful lesson. If you use the Internet to give you a few extra people to talk each week, then that is helpful.
Make the meetings, pick people up and drive them there. You need to buy "beach money" by Jordan Adler as soon as possible. It's a great book that will help you see the big picture.

I think going to company meetings can have a very POWERFUL effect on you as well as your prospect. WHY...because.
1. Its install a belief by watching success of others
2. One thinks if they can do it why can't I.
3. We believe better in the company because we see the impact the company is having on the life of others.
4. I even recommend going a NATIONAL event which occurs once or twice in a year.

Actually going to MLM trainings & business opp meetings is a great way to generate leads for online marketing! Just get a t-shirt that says "Sponsor Online Now, Ask Me How!"
