I don't remember if it was in this forum or another one but I saw someone asking for a way to make money FAST.
Well, if that's also your case, let me tell you that you might NOT be ready to have your own business.
You see, regardless of who are you studying and what kind of information you are getting, there's a concept VERY important that we ALL must "get" ... MOMENTUM.
Either offline or online, this powerful "mojo" is learning the stuff that really work and applying it effectively.
For example...Remember in school when the math teacher talked about a new subject that you didn't "get" at first? If you were a responsible student, what did you do back then? You probably joined a study group right?
The same applies to Business...Masterminding with others what you have just learned and applying it right away it's a VERY effective strategy when it comes to "getting" MOMENTUM.
If you are a bit "seasoned" Marketer you probably agree with me..Remember how Pay Per Click, Article Marketing, Facebook or whatever sounded like at first?
My final words: Don't rush it. There's no such thing as "getting rich fast" programs that really work...Leaders get up, dress up and show up!
What do YOU think?

Getting rich quick doesn't happen unless you win the lotto, you need to put in work, and effort and be willing to take time to learn. Anyone who sells a program that will get you $5,987.39 within your first 30 days is selling snake oil.

True there will always be those that win the lotto in home business, meaning someone that got in and in 30-60 days a great fortune evolved. But the masses will have to put in the work to get the goodies.

yes but alot of people get into things and then sit back just to see what will happen. I am not sure what they think will happen without them partcipating . Yes you could win the lottery (I am not sure of the odds on that) but let me put it this way. Don't quit your day job so to speak. YOU HAVE GOT TO PUT IN THE EFFORT to get anything or anywhere in any business. write this on a piece of paper and put it in front of you so you remember it. I can't think of any other way to say it. Learn everyday, apply it everyday keep doing that and pretty soon things start happening.

So many "buy" into the sales page. The problem is two-fold: Unrealistic expectation presented and not wanting to do the work necessary.
Honestly, most of the affiliate marketing strategy products work. Sadly the creators of these products often "hype" up the figures. Granted a "seasoned marketer" will probably duplicate the figures due to experience and the ability to purchase quality traffic. The average newbie does not have that luxury.
Along with the expectation is the mind set that people have. They feel because it is the Internet, no actual work is involved. Wrong!
Listen up newbies because I am about to give out the secret that the "gurus" don't want you to know. Come closer......closer.......
Ok here is the secret. The magic button. The Blue Pill.......
You have to work your BUSINESS every day. You must commit to spending time building your business. I don't care what the sales page told you. Work is involved. You WILL eventually get to the point where your Internet business will make money while you sleep, but you are going to have to nurture it to maturity.
Internet marketing is easy but it takes work. Keep this thought in mind though: It is YOUR business and YOUR financial security that you are building. Adjust the mindset. You will SUCCEED

Those who look to make money FAST, are the same people that never succeed and when they don't, they start bashing the program and NM is general.
It does take time to succeed in this business.
For some it may take 6 months.
For others it may take 3-5 years before they make a decent income to quit their jobs.

I love the opinions and the nuggets shared in this post...
I agree with what most of you said...This IS a business and therefore effort, time and money IS required to be successful at it.
Now, there's something that Ken said that got my attention.
"So many "buy" into the sales page. The problem is two-fold: Unrealistic expectation presented and not wanting to do the work necessary."
That's a VERY interesting point of view Ken.
The way I see it is that we as marketers must use all the knowledge and wisdom we "get" into our businesses...The magic of a "sales page" is that you put your prospect's mind into your stuff and match their burning problem with our solution.
Of course...There are marketers who over-hype this process with ridiculous income claims and others who don't. (I personally limit any income claims almost to zero)
In my opinion, a business is a just a reflection of the person who runs it...The KEY lies in learning, mastering and applying skills daily.
If you are a hype-ish person who gets over-excited with things easily...then your "sales page" will be written that way.
So...Who else has something to say about this topic?

Wow! Great feedback here....
As a relative newbie, I can say that even though much work is needed to create a successful business -I have never been involved with any industry that offers so much support and advice as the affiliate marketing/work from home industry.
For that, I am very grateful and happy to continue working towards my dreams and goals.
Best to all. ~Dennis

I agree-there is no such thing as getting rich quick by working at home. It is very possible to make a decent living online, and some people are extremely successful, but they have had to work hard to get to where they are. You have to market yourself as well as your product. People are naturally sucked in when a sales page shows a copy of a check from Clickbank, or a balance on PayPal showing that this person made thousands of dollars overnight. They DON'T tell you on that sales page that they probably spent almost that same amount of money on advertising. There are many ways to get traffic, and some are free, but you have to work at it no matter which one you choose.

I love the word "Momentum". Thanks for putting it out there, Cesar. It's a great concept to share with people who don't understand why they haven't hit their ultimate business goal in the first week. Start at the beginning, and build your momentum.

I've been marketing online for 7 years, and I still haven't found a website where you can just fill in your information and get paid! There is no such thing as overnight riches. There's only two things that bring success in online marketing, time and effort. If you're not willing to put either of these in, you may as well give it a rest.

Dennis...You are absolutely right. It's really empowering to learn from all the valuable leaders in the Industry. A NEW day it's an exciting day.
Maureen...You bet. In this and any kind of business, hard but smartly work is required to achieve tangible success. It's a matter of knowing who to surround yourself with on a daily basis.
Mochamama...You are VERY welcome.
Kenya...Yep..You can not get rich quick. I feel for those trapped in a 4 wall office lying to themselves daily. "Maybe one day it will be different"....It won't unless you choose to make it different.
Lot's of great feedbacks in this post. Keep 'em coming!

I think a key thing for beginners to remember when they venture out into the Network Marketing world is that, once they are armed with the kind of knowledge that Cesar has put forth here, --that there really is NO such thing as get-rich-quick tactics or effortless paycheck systems-- then a couple of essential attributes to make sure you have a lot of personal stock in would be: Patience, and an Insatiable Desire To Succeed.
Killer combo, yet so difficult for us to master.
Everyone has to learn this business. For those of us who are serious about becoming successful entrepreneurs, we need to be realistic in our approach. Trusting someone else to do all the work for us while we sit back and do nothing has made many of us poorer. In what other industry or career has this tactic EVER worked?
This may sound harsh but I think it needs to be stated... more as a warning than a criticism really (as I have made my fair share of costly mistakes) but, if you are lazy enough to fall for the line on a page that tells you that you can do nothing and get paid for it, then you deserve to be without the amount of dollars that you gave the person selling you the gimmick. And that person that has taken your money deserves it for selling you the dream that everyone has dreamt and no one has been able to achieve.
OUCH!
Having said that... Is it understandable why we buy into that concept? Absolutely! Who really WANTS to put their blood, sweat and tears into something when it says right there that we can sign up and get and get instantly 'plugged in' to a fabulous automatic money machine?
Bottom line --> You need to be willing to work for your success. You need to accept that this is now YOUR 'business'.
You need to WANT to learn the ropes.
And, you need to be patient but expect success.
And how can you expect success? Just like Cesar has pointed out. Study from the best, weed out the rest, and apply, apply, APPLY that knowledge!
Cheers, Joy

All great points, I think the biggest part of it is consistency.
Choosing to stick with something, becoming proficient at it and then moving on to another area of your business is how to build it the safest and fastest.
Thats how i've seen success in my business, its just time and patience.
Oh, and i wish I could say that its all cupcakes and ding dongs, but its not. You will experience some heartaches along the way, but in all honesty, the journey has been more than worthwhile for me.
Don't give up!

Well, I do believe get rich quick programs can work...
The problem is that most of the people who buy into it tend not to have any real advertising budget or online marketing skills. Most people don't understand conversions or even how to build traffic, so they fail and call it a scam.
There is another secret behind a lot of these programs that is somehow forgotten on the sales page: How long did it take the person to gain or obtain the advertising budget to make the claimed sales records? Someone who made $4,273 in 19 minutes could have taken 6 years to build a targeted list of 100K subscribers and got lucky with an email broadcast.
Honestly, I don't think there are many scams out there anymore, but plenty of misleading products. I think anyone can sell anything with basic marketing knowledge.
I would never support anything unethical, but someone is making good money with it or they would all die out.
I myself tend to stick with network marketing and funded proposal systems, but everyone has their niche!
