Look at the threads that are getting the most responses in forums like this. Writing articles that solve problems are always a good idea.
Therefore you can get great ideas in forums where people have problems they are asking questions about. You can even get ideas for the content in the body of your article from the responses you read in the thread.

The best place to find your ideas is simple..
ASK YOUR EXISTING LIST.
if you dont have alist, write about things that you know.. start by writting about anything because the idea is to get them out there.. once you start seeing traffic ask your clients what they would like to know

I'm not intentionally stalking you, moneymagnet23, honest!
This has turned into a great thread.
It's easier to have your customers buy something that they want rather than persuade them that they need it. It sounds really obvious but it is surprising how often this is overlooked.
And it's the reason for low sales conversion rates.
So instead of bombarding your mailing list with email after email telling them about the latest great product that will cure their misery, just drop them a casual email asking them what they want - or what they'd like to hear more about.
This demonstrates to the customer that you don't just see them as your dinner ticket by constantly trying to sell them stuff.
This shows that you're interested in your customers - willing to listen to them and interested in finding a way to give them what they want.
You'll be surprised at what you can achieve with this approach.
And it applies to everything! Ever tried persuading a girl that she wants you? It's much easier sitting back and letting her get curious... but that's another topic for another forum...
Keep up the good work everybody,
JSq

When I first starting my own articles I too was concerned about duplicating content. But the one thing I found out, no one else thinks the same way you. You are unique in the words you use and you might be saying the same thing, you are just using different words to explain. The encouraging thought is it can be the words YOU use that makes a light bulb off in other peoples head since we all think differently.

Hello Sundown;
I am altogether very new at this and, though I have signed up, I don't remember when, I still am not oriented.
So, this is my first time in quite a while. Maybe the responses you have gotten since your original posting were all what you needed but, let me give a little contribution here:
Go to ezineArticles.com (I am not on their affiliate program - this is just a friendly suggestion) and read articles on the same subject/niche as yours. Get familiar with them and I'll be surprise the same thing doesn't happen to you as it did to me:
Having never ever written more than a few words on birthday cards (just to make my point here), and never in English (this is not my native language), I found myself, one morning, full of ideas and tricks (using dictionaries, thesaurus, etc.) and excitement as I saw that not only I was ready to write, but I couldn't wait any longer!
And, yes, search for your topic on google: You'll get lists of different sites you can read blogs, reviews, etc. Join forums that are oriented on the same topic.
Good inspiration! Maverique

getagrip: I read somewhere, I think on this forum, where people find videos on Youtube and get ideas from the videos they watch. Now THAT is a great idea! Look at the ones that are getting high views too. I get ideas from movies as well. But you want to make sure wherever you get your ideas from that you do your keyword research.
Look for the long tail keywords that get a lot of traffic but not a lot of competition.
