Ok, so I've been doing internet marketing for years now, but lately it just seems like wordtracker isn't reliable.
Does anyone know the difference between Gtrends and wordtracker and which one is more reliable?

You've been doing IM for years you say, and I've only been doing it for a few months so I'm no expert. What I have heard though is that Wordtracker and similar tools are based on smaller search engines and not directly on Google or real results. They are meant to be an estimate, and not completely accurate. For example, I found one keyword that supposedly got 200 searches a day, and I jumped on the opportunity. I made a site and it ranked high for the keyword.....but after a week it only got about 2 views.

The Google keyword tool seems a bit more accurate though. SInce it is an official Google tool and they base the numbers on actual searches for their search engine. I have been using that lately and it seems to work well....but again I am fairly new to this.

Some times the search may be seasonal or for a particular period.
