My advice is: don't be blown about by every 'new thing' that comes your way. Choose one model and stick with it (eg. affiliate marketing). These income models are tried an tested, and WILL work if you do it correctly.

I'm still a newbie to learning how to do the web 2.0 thing. I've always used paid marketing, but I'm learning to save money and still generate tons of organic marketing.

Thanks for all the tips and advice.

tpalmer02:
I have found affiliate marketing works very well when you combine it is with use value. In other words, you can give away valuable information to help people in their businesses.

Yes! This is a great observation, Tasha. Give people the information they are looking for. If you have a lot of knowledge or are really passionate about a hobby or your work, you can share your knowledge about that with Internet searchers.

When you gain your visitor's trust... when they are convinced that you know what you are talking about.... (this is part of writing to pre-sell) you can promote other vendors products that are related to the topic you're discussing. This is easily weaved into your content without looking like you're selling something. You don't have to have your own product, deal with customers, or provide your own service.

You simply are recommending a great product that will help your visitors/readers achieve their goals! I never did well with networking marketing. I highly recommend affiliate marketing for those, like me, who just don't seem to have any success with MLM or other network marketing programs. Some people are just great at that kind of stuff, some of us aren't. It seems you either do really good, or really bad.

Commission Junction is my favorite affiliate vendor program. It has loads of vendors and great tools to track your sales. It also has a good organized system that helps find vendors with related products/services and a search tool to help also.

Online marketing is very simple. All you need to be is diligent. Have a goal in mind of the amount of content that you're going to post each and every week. Maybe its 5 videos and 5 articles. Over the course of a year, you have a lot of content driving massive traffic back to your site!

First and foremost, if you want to be successful online, make certain that you're providing value. Dont just sell, sell, sell. Help people first. In turn, they will trust you forever and keep buying your product or services. Without saying, they will also join your downline.

I love teaching people this world of internet marketing that I like to call "Working For Your Freedom".

Jared

Learn as much about marketing online and offline using paid and free strategies and you should have a problem being successful in due course. Be consistent and persistent.
