And I have set up a booth before at the fair and at the civic auditoriums annual job expos.

Did you join your Chamber of Commerce to find out when there are job expo's, trade shows, etc.? My company has expanded to now offer the ability for people to choose direct sales if they like, so I am now trying to explore more way's to grow offline than in the past since before I strictly promoted the business itself only, never the business with a particular product.

Hello,

If you're not already, a good way to get found locally is to get on Google's Local Business Center.

Good news: it's free, and all you have to do is set up a Google Account (which you already have if you use Gmail)

Bad news: if you don't go through the "verification" process (where Google just tries to make sure you're the actual owner), then you're not getting found anytime soon

Good/bad news: if your business is on Local Business Center and you don't have a website, you're at a big disadvantage. But if you do have one, you'll probably beat out all your local competitors who don't (I've tested that one a LOT)

Wow - I am so glad I stumbled on this posting. I have been with my company 11 years and have generated over 1.4 million dollars - it is a great business, but lately I feel like I am not fishing in the right ponds for people to work with me.

It is not MLM, but I love people with party plan or MLM experience - they have been trained well!

I have been placing local ads, but mostly getting people looking for hourly "jobs" - not to work for themself...I LOVE the flyer idea - but other than the grocery store and a few select coffee shops, have not found places to post - any specific suggestions?

I guess I could start some online stuff, but I really prefer warmer referrals.

I look forward to teaming up here and helping each other to be prosperous.
