Yes it is true, i have found that after a week or so of advertising to my clients online, the best thing is to bring them offline. People are willing to pay much more for a real book, or a cd, rather than a video on youtube or ebook.

Consider asking for your clients names, address and phone number so you can build a better business with them.

This is an interesting post, moneymagnet23

I guess one of the stumbling blocks to offline business is the cost in producing a real book or cd. Is there a way around this? I imagine it's easier to do produce cds then a book - unless it was in some sort of 'office binder' format.

Then there is also the added cost of post and packaging...

But I guess you compare this to demand, sales conversions, and, as you mentioned, a willingness to pay a higher price. As well as the fact that copyright infringements are less likely with material goods.

I must admit, as a consumer, I prefer something you can consult without needing access to the internet or a computer.

Moneymagnet23 - has your experience revolved around selling books and/or cds? And can you give approximate differences in sales between online and offline methods?

That'd be great!

Thanks,

JSq

But it might incur some shipping cost, if your customers are located overseas.

Yes there might be some shipping costs, but that cost can be past along.

Of course there is money to be made with offline products, but I don't know if it can be said people will pay more for it. I think it comes down to what the person perceives as the value of what they are getting. For examples videos put on a DVD are no better than access the video online, and one end us incurring shipping cost that are unnecessary.

But One has to love the beauty of online products. Instant access to
products and services is great. And for the seller, product is cost are small allowing profits to be increased. People are going to buy a product/service based on what it offers and their need. How they get it may not matter as much.

But the power of the internet affords you the flexibility of profiting from distribution of physical and virtual/digital products. Either way is Awesome.

HI, There is benefit on both business method.

With online business, it is cost effective. You don't have to worry

about shipping as a buyer, you willl get right away.

A Benefit for offline business would be, you can have actual product

in your hands.

What you can see, and what you can touch are different from

online business.

So, I recommend both way, if you run them side by side,

that's going to be perfect!!

Thank you

Happy day~^^

Hey!

I believe what 'moneymagnet23' is trying to say is that it will make an individuals' business more "scam-free" and legitimate if buyers can actually see and feel the start of whatever business they are trying to start or get into...does anyone understand where i'm coming from?

Personally, I would love to have every business "show me" that they are worth my time and, possibly, money. Some of my time is spent searching the legitimacy of companies anyhow, so. I agree with moneymagnet23.

And also, it will get around by word of mouth quicker than having someone skeptical over a business: buyers can show their friends and everything.

If you are able to combine both and all methods of advertising it is the best. Just make sure that you wiegh your decisions carefully because you don't want to invest too much and get yourself in a pinch.

Marketing can be defined a number of ways.
Val Smyth, founder of Mentors In Motion taught me that Marketing is the art and science of empowering, strengthening and developing real relationships with another human being, based their wants or needs and not yours or mine.
Mark Victor Hansen instructed me that marketing is the ability to effectively reach out to a lead, and offer them your product, your service, your personality, and your information. It is really about Information Entrepreneurship, or being an "infopreneur," which is the best of all possible businesses to run.
Robotic Marketing is all about using tools and techniques, which get more done, faster so one can work less and make more money. So how does one robotically or use automated systems to get the right message, to the right market, using the right media?
If you are reading this article then you surely know of the hundreds of millions of dollars that are spent each year on internet marketing products and services. What you probably don't know is that there is a small fortune to be made from selling basic Internet Marketing services to local businesses.

This is quite new kind of thing that I have heared. Definitely offline business is a bigger market one. If we have an online system that can complement offline efforts it is a great one.
Both go hand in hand....

Hello,

Use on-demand printing and fulfillment. With a physical product you can charge more. If you're selling an eGuide for $17.95, you can easily sell the paperback version for $21.95-$24.95 + $5.95 s/h.

Use Lulu.com or CreateSpace.com or Disk.com. For fulfillment, you can order one book at a time and use USPS Priority Mail. Or a little trick I do is use LuLu.com, login and order a book for yourself BUT in the ship to form put your customer's info. The package will arrive with LuLu.com's info but you simply email your customer the tracking ID and tell them your Print Publishing associate will be delivering the book - LuLu.com.

Dave

ps. Self-publishing is very easy. You can outsource everything just like in ebooks.

Sounds like a great idea, but you would have to deal with shipping and handling and not to mention your going to have to spend money to built the product, whether it be CD product, or a real book.
