Go to clickbank, find some products and start promoting them with free blogs such as blogger.com

First piece of advice--don't spend any money. I'm serious. Don't spend a cent.
Second piece of advice--you have to work at online marketing the same as anything else.
Go to blogger.com. Set up a free blog. Learn how it works.
Visit clickbank. See what they have on offer. If you can write about it in your blog, then do so...add links back to the products.
Sign up for affiliate programs. For instance, if you sign up with Amazon or ebay, you can put links on your blog and earn commission if people click on your links and buy.
Check out the ads for making money online--there are loads of them. Learn about them--don't spend money! Sign up for free programs, if you think they are worthwhile, but don't spend money!
Look around the forums--ask for advice!
Good luck!

A free blog is the best way to start earning from home, but don't expect to get rich soon.

I agree with pcwork using a blogger is a great free way to start earning money online and im sure most newbies use it but be prepared for a slow start when making money online. If money floods in quick i congratulate you but the first amount of money you make tends to be small change and you work your way up.

Let's be realistic about this for a second.
The original post asked how you can easily make money online without spending a lot of money and not starting a traditional business.
The advice given was "Don't spend any money" and the signature at the bottom of the post is to a blog that says the same thing the post said "Don't spend any money", sign up for affiliate programs and make a blog. The interesting thing is on the left side of the blog is links to "money making programs" you can BUY from amazon.com
I would like to ask a few questions:
1. Who is going to see that blog? Answer: No one. If it was as simple as signing up for a program and making a blog then wouldn't everyone be sitting at home in their underwear making blogs and raking in cash?
2. How is he going to get that blog seen so he can make sales? Answer:Once you pick the products you want to sell you need to do research on how to market them. What keywords will get go response and listing in search engines? What is the proper way to format that blog to please the search engines and get good listings ? What is the proper way to write the blog to trigger sales? What free techniques are there to bring traffic to that blog?
3. What was the link to that blog really about? Answer: 1. Hoping you would buy a book from amazon.com 2. Hoping you would buy into "Profit Lance". A total joke 3. Hoping you would click on one of the other several dozen affiliate links on the blog.
4. Is that blog going to help you make money? Answer: NO
I'm not going to give you a blog link or tell you that you should or should not spend money to get started.
All I want you to understand is that if you really want to make a career out of Internet Marketing, really make a career out of it, you are going to have to get educated on the ins and outs of the business.
Here is what I did and still do:
I get my Internet Marketing Career training from the WA Internet Marketing University [Link removed - Admin] don't click on the link yet.
I want to tell you why I use WA. 1. It is not an e-book. It is real training with real one on one support 2. It provides you with the necessary research tools you need to be successful with IM. 3. You can get started with a 8-week course that teaches the basics through advanced IM techniques so you can really make money. 4. They have a quick start that will help you start earning some money while you learn 5. Constantly updated online courses for everyone, beginner, intermediate and advanced IMer's. 6. Comprehensive video training to actually see what you need to do. 7. Free web hosting included. 8. The post mentioned clickbank. It's a great place to start but there are thousands of products. Which ones do you sell? WA offers a clickbank tool to show you which products are doing well, which aren't and which ones are getting slammed with refund requests. Selling does you now good if all your customers request refunds.
As you can see there is a lot to becoming a sucessful Internet marketer. You can absolutely start off by creating free blogs but if you do not truly understand how to effectively use that blog then you aren't going to sell a single thing.
It's like asking "How do I become a doctor?" and getting the response. "Do not spend any money on medical school, everything you need to learn about performing surgery can be found online."
Heck, for that matter, if you want to be a lawyer you can research any law and how to apply them right online so why go to law school?
I started out thinking it was as simple as making a blog and things would sell themselves. The internet is a BIG place.
Think about it this way.
If you started a business in a large city like Los Angeles and the business was in the back of some industrial park somewhere how much would you sell if you did not tell anyone you were there? You would not sell a single thing.
The internet is thousand of times bigger than LA in relative terms and there are billions of blogs. Who is going to see your when it is done? You HAVE to learn how to use that blog, website or whatever means you want to use to market products.
Check out WA Internet Marketing University [Link removed - Admin]. Maybe it's right for you and maybe it's not but I can promise you it is not as simple as:
sign up for affiliate programs and make a blog.
You can start off relatively cheap and there are tons of ways to market without spending money but you HAVE to market. You HAVE to learn how to bring people to your product.
That blog you were directed to was not made by a successful Internet Marketer. You can believe that if you want but I can promise you it is not, does not and will not work to make good money online.
Whatever you decide to do I wish you luck. It's a great way to earn a living and I enjoy every single day that I get up and walk over to my computer instead of driving to a job.

Affiliate marketing is a good start for beginners and create a blog while promoting a clickbank product is free. You can also monitize you blog with adsense if you have a great niche and get good traffic.

Jonki has seveal good points. There is no EASY,FAST way to make thing work...if you find one let me know. After several years of trying different items, affiliate programs and the such i've discovered that all that work only taught me the hard way. Starting with a blog is ok and a very good starting point to your education if you only get things to fail you'll at least learn what doesn't work.
My advice, try the affiliate thing(clickbank is ok but it's been my experiance that their products don't sell very well) and the ones that do(the "let me help you make money online" ebooks and sites) usually leave you feeling lke you sold your soul for a buck.
The great thing about blogs is that you can gear them towards your interests and then gear your interest towards making an income. If you like a particular sports team run with it and ad some adsense or worthwhile affiliate links.
Hope that helped at least a little.

you can click the links on my sig but here are the steps
1. create a simple site about something your interested in 2. sign up with google adsense and get some pay per click ads up 3. Get some traffic. Post your link to sites, forums, and bookmarking sites. 4. Add some affiliate links to your site.
then from there try to find ways to attract people to your site and increase traffic. More people means more clickouts.

Guys, lets get real for a second. Do you honestly believe that you can make money without spending money? No, you aren't that naive. You will need a website, a domain name, and hosting- you're spending money right there.
Create a website about something you're passionate about. Develop traffic for that website through social networking sites (Digg, Netscape, etc.), relevant blog comments (DO NOT SPAM), and SEO. It will take time.
Put some affiliate creatives on the website and some AdSense as well. It takes time to develop enough traffic to make a decent income, but for god sakes DO NOT think that making money online is simple and carefree. All the ClickBank garbage in the world won't help you with that.
That's what I did, and I make around 60K a year at the moment entirely online.

Compared to an offline business, you can make money online without spending much money, but you should be willing to spend a lot of time.

Sure, but a lot of people come on here wanting someone to literally spoonfeed them an income. It doesn't work like that.
For under $250 you could have an online business set up and running, a bit of testing and patience could yield $5,000 + in profits. I know because I've done exactly that, and it wasn't because someone told me how to do it. Take a look at what you can offer, or take a look at what you can promote, and think of a way that someone who might be interested would actually see it. Done, and done.

I'm new to this forum, but what you're saying is true about having to spend money (at some point), but especially time. A home business is still a BUSINESS, and they don't run themselves. The effort is well worth it, many times over!

Have you read Willie Crawford's report "How To Earn $1000-$2000 in 24 Hours or Less?"
It will cost you $5, but you can turn around and sell the report for $5 and keep 100% directly into your PayPal account. Very good report and will give you another idea on making money on the internet.

Just my opinion on this. I started my online business on Aug 1st of this year (1 week after a kidney transplant, had plenty of time) and found a program for $40 that taught me how to market online, fairly successfully. I now market multiple programs, built my own website and yesterday I had an Alexa traffic rank of 716,000. So how can you start a blog that people will find unless you know how to market online first to be able to drive traffic there?? Then you have to like to write, most people don't. Just find an inexpensive program that sounds interesting to you, bite the bullet and buy it. Then READ and READ some more. Reading will help you alot more that writing. Then make sure the person you are buying from has their phone number available to you, MOST DON'T. Even though I do not profit from it, I give my customers all the help they request, by phone or email. I hope this helps.

I have a blog and It only get viewed my me and a few people I have shared it with. I don't see how a blog is any different than having a website. Just because you have one doesn't mean people will find it. There are so many ways to get exposure I don't know what to say. There are a lot of internet marketers making posts here in this forum and there are thousands of other forums so I think posting in forums is a good way to start. The hard part with forums is keeping from getting deleted or banned for spamming. This is one of the more leaniant forums- Thanks Vishal

I agree - to run an online business takes an investment of time to do a lot of research. And if you plan to get started making money online with almost no investment , then plan to spend a LOT of time in front of your computer!
I did invest quite a bit of money into my online business - as I simply don't have the time to sit and read!(with 5 kids , homeschooling, cooking, cleaning , and u name it...I needed someone to tell me, exactly what to do to make the kind of money they were making - and it's paying off...)
My original goal had to bring my husband home from his 70+ hour job as a trucker and that happened about 6 months after I got started - (now I need to train him how to cook and clean - LOL)
Seriously, though , there are so many opportunities for a person to work at home, be a stay at home Mom (or Dad) , get out of the rat race...whatever it is that's got you looking - you just need to be diligent until you find the right fit for you and then determine to NEVER QUIT!!!
Much success to all! Viola

you also need to find something you like, and can get passionate about. If you are selling say cars but you don't like it you aren't going to sell many, if any.
as for building a website there are alot of free web site builders available. I have a few on my desktop....
