I don't know if you guys have heard about this. But for those that you don't CPA stands for Cost Per Action.
This is perhaps easier to do and you do not have to make any sales at all.
You simply provide leads for the companies. Typically, what you are promoting are offers, in which someone enters just a zip code or an email address and you get around $1.20 for it.
That's basically it. Every lead you get, you get $1.20 for it.
One good program that offers CPA is Maxbounty. Pretty reputable and they have a wide range of offers to promote.
So this thread is meant to create a discussion about CPA, so what are your thoughts about this?

Hi Mattjosh! Have you been using these means of extra income on your site?
How's it working for you? Do they pay on time?
Haven't ever looked into this yet... Thanks, Dan

Large CPA networks like Azoogle, YMultimedia, etc. will pay and they are reputable.
People make a killing on CPA, sometime making thousands a day. But most of their traffic comes from paid advertisement (PPC and PPV).
It is not easy to join a good CPA network because of large amount of fraud involved in CPA marketing.
However, there are ways to join a CPA network easily.
Follow the steps. 1. Talk to somebody in the CPA network as soon as you complete your online application. 2. Create a flash site as your company website.
And some few other techniques. I'm going to write a blog post on this subject in a week or two.
I will also give an example of a fully developed flash company site. You can get the site for free. I will discuss about that also.
I have made money in CPA but not like the big marketers who make a large amount of money.
It is hard work to optimize your ad to get a good ROI (return on investment).
You have to pour over a large amount of data and be very analytical. Some time even the text surrounding your button will make or break your campaign.

About half of my income comes from CPA offers.
I don't pay for advertising (ppc), I mainly use article marketing.
I belong to many CPA networks and have never had a problem getting paid. My favorite being Neverblue.
I have learnt a lot from Loot4leads.com and Imran Naseem's CPA Reports.

I've never tried cpa. PPV and PPC have worked pretty well for me. the key is to know what you are doing BEFORE you spend any money on it.
CPA does sound interesting. I'd love to hear more about your levels of success.

You do have to know how to have a conversation with a CPA staffer. They reject you if they don't talk to you because CPA is an area of online marketing where ethics are important - the networks can have legal problems if their promoters do slimy stuff... so they want to make sure you (the applicant) are an above-board marketer with:
1. an understanding of niche marketing concepts 2. ability to get traffic
---
Here's facts about CPA however - even though the offers, some of them are very seductive, some not even requiring a credit card entry, the marketplace is saturated with these offers so you do need some traffic-driving skills.
Driving traffic by buying clicks can get spendy if you aren't real savvy. So if you want to do CPA on a shoestring you can but you have to work hard, cranking-out articles and doing good keyword intel. The real trick is to get the articles as widely distributed as possible with as little work as possible.
I use automated submitters for article distribution, bounce the traffic onto niche Wordpress sites with CPA offers in the sidebars. I also use software to convert the articles into video slide-shows and use video submitters to blast them out to dozens of sites. Turning the articles into press releases and blog posts is good too. Again, submitters come in handy with press releases but the best PR directories only accept hand submission - the ones that accept automated submissions tend to be better for backlinks.
There's a lot to it, but in a nutshell:
1. write a keyword targeted article pointing at your niche blog
2. publish the article on EzineArticles, then on lots of other directories.
3. turn it into a press release and use the press release to promote the EzineArticle, not your niche blog. This give link juice to the article so it can rank well in Google, something your niche blog is unlikely to ever do in the competitive niches like "lose weight" with the best CPA offers and payouts.
4. turn it into a video and submit that.
5. submit the video as a podcast.
All this with one article. You could, once you learn the method, write not very many articles yet have your content on 1000s of sites. Most of your time is spend not writing, but promoting the articles you've written with backlinks.
