Hi all,

Does anyone know what causes an advertiser to be temporarily deactivated on CJ? I'm not talking about deactivating an affiliate, I'm talking about the merchants.

I've learned a long time ago not to remove links on my sites when a merchant is deactivated because more often than not they are reactivated within a few hours and then I have to put the links back.

I can't find anything on the CJ site about it. So my question is, does anyone know for sure what types of events trigger a temporary advertiser deactivation? I've seen some major merchants get deactivated and then reactivated and I've always wondered what happened? What'd they do?

Thanks in advance.

I've noticed the same trend. Like you, I've seen that they are re-activated very shortly later.

I don't know the reason for sure, but I suspect it may be low funds or late processing of their payments or reporting - something like that.

I've never taken the time to contact CJ and ask.
