Ezine has given me tons of trouble lately with what links I can and can't post in my articles, but I don't want to abandon it because I know it's a great resource for potential buyers.
So, what exactly can I put in an Ezine article? I know no affiliate links, but I can put my website in. What about a Squidoo lens? Or a Wordpress or Blogger blog?
Thanks very much for clearing up this problem for me.

I think you should write them directly to find out exactly what you can and cannot do.

Typically, Squidoo lens, blogs, and top level domains are accepted. This may vary depending on who reviews your articles, because some people have had problems with subdomains (ex. blogger) and pages (ex. Squidoo lens) not getting accepted. If you feel your article was rejected in error, you can always send a message to them and they should clear it up.

BlueJ33: So, what exactly can I put in an Ezine article?
If you are asking specifically about EzineArticles, you can read their editorial giudelines for an answer.

Hello BlueJ33,
http://ezinearticles.com/author-terms-of-service.html http://ezinearticles.com/editorial-guidelines.html
For a while, my articles always came back because I had forgotten some wee thing. So, I review these pages before writing and before I submit.
After you submit a certain amount of articles without errors, EZine will upgrade your account. I hope this helps. Have a great day, Victoria

You should be able to put the first page of your website in there

I just updated my resource box in two articles and put a subdomain url in there and they approved both. I also use my blogger blog sometimes and they have never rejected it either. There were two times they rejected my articles once for too many keywords and once for having the title in the url. I fixed the problem and they approved them. You just have to go along with their specifications no matter how petty you feel they are. Sonni

BTW, I have also submitted 3 Squidoo lenses and they approved them as well. Sometimes it depends on the editor you get. Sonni

I agree as sometimes the same link gets accepted or rejected...
Here is a tip though... there is a 300 word count in BOTH the article section and the bio section.... have your bio section flow together seamlessly with the article as you can have links in the bio section but not the article one... putting your link closer to the middle that way
(I just picked that up recently - actually I learned that tip plus many more thru PotPieGirls stuff..)

Good tip mountainmom I never thought of it that way, but I see what you mean. I'll remember that when I submit again; keep the flow. Sonni

Keep the links below the fold and read the terms of service

Plain and simply DON'T put links in your articles. Use your bio line. Ezine is really good about letting you semi advertise. I sell a certain guide and in my articles I always have a bio along the lines of
If you would like further information on guide xzy visit LINK
Also if you're interested in learning more about guide xyz the this blog is a must read: LINK
Ironically enough I was just moved to expert status with ezine after being downgraded for not using it in quite some time and the first time I get an article rejected was the first article I put out AFTER being upgraded to expert status. ...and I still can't figure out why it was rejected.
