So I have a large library of articles at this point and many of them are great traffic drivers and such. I tend to use articles to drive traffic more than I do to build backlinks, it's worked so far as the article quality tends to be pretty high and the SEO is there.

The problem is that an article is stagnant and will generally compete with larger static sites.

So in order to help keep older traffic driving articles what methods for promoting articles can anyone recommend?

I generally do the following:
1 Press release for an article
1 Blog post from my "blog article directory" as well as a permanent link on the blog

Other than that i just let them ride.
So far it's worked really well but I am starting to see some of the larger sites creeping up or surpassing my article google rankings.

What can i do to boost these articles back up a little higher?

Maybe link to them from sites like Digg.com, and perhaps Feedage.com if you have RSS Feeds - they should give your articles a little boost

I'll have to look into the rss feeds. I have feeds for my blogs that i use as sitemaps, but beyond that I really don't use sitefeed for anything beyond that.

how do you go about doing that?

You could start your own website and index the articles under headings. Each new page will increase your google page rank and so help your rankings.
I usually publish my articles on a blog first before submitting them to an article directory.
Don't forget to ping your blog posts as well.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Try to link them from other article directories (in your resource box) in order to improve the serp of the article.

Here is good information of Article submission

uniquewizardarticles.com

For those of you who are busy to write and submit to many

directories, and search engines..

They will do it for you if you can invest some money monthly.

I am still submitting and writing my own articles, but It is

hard to get traffic in such a competitive market..

I hope this will help some one at least!!

Happy day~^^
