I started doing this in January and I am just now figuring out what I want to do with all this info I have gathered. I have joined the 30 day challenge and keyword and market research do seem to be the key. I have not gotten through it yet, but everytime I sit down to work on my stuff on the computer I will watch one of the videos and apply it. (If I understand it) If I don't I come here and ta-da, one of these great people answer my questions.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. After reading the replies, I'll try them myself. I won't waste time telling you all the mistakes I've made so far. Thanks everybody for all the tips.

gerry:
Can someone help me with ideas for free traffic, how to get affiliates to help me promote one of my sites, how to get ideas for promotion.

I recommend One Week Marketing as a way to get free traffic. It looks like you might already be using My Online Income System or another program that teaches similar techniques. I started with My Online Income System and then added One Week Marketing. It made a big difference and the two programs go together really well. And, of course, the focus of both is marketing for free.

Good luck, and keep going!

If you are new, I would suggest that you don't do PPC not yet anyway. It's expensive to maintain this type of marketing and since you mentioned you've lost some money.

If you are planning to do affiliate marketing join an Affiliate Marketing school instead. If you join reputable Affiliate Marketing Schools, you can be sure that you'll find the best affiliate marketing training programs to expedite your learning curve. It may cost a little money to join one but it's money well spent on your training tools that cover all that you will need in relevant ebooks, audio, video, tutorials or personal mentor coaching. In these schools, as an added benefit, you also get other essentials like free hosting account or pre-built websites, all without any added charges.

Using all the free ways is always best when starting out. I have already been going through some trial and errors, but this helps with our learning curve. The only thing I pay for is the UsFreeAds, everything else is free. So far my traffic has really increased by linking everything together as far as lenes, blog, articles, ads, and forums.

The forums are a hugh help in helping everyone become more successful with their ideas and knowledge.

I know what you mean. Worst for me is I am 52 and bran new to computers. I bought this one used, don't really know how to use it and can't get in touch with the person who sold it to me. I wish I could meet and sit down with someone or a few people and discuss all these things, instead of blindly trusting someone who wants to sell you something first. If anyone is interested please get back to me.

Hey gerry,

Hope things are progressing well for you.

I just wanted to say one thing that I found really helped me (which you may be doing already).

Pick one thing and follow it through all the way.

So if you have already bought MOIS then do everything it tells you to do up until the 60th day, and block out everything else.

OR if you haven't bought anything yet, I would recommend doing the 30 Day Challenge. It is FREE. Do everything they teach you to do.

And don't think about anything else.

There will be plenty of time to learn more once you have completed either of these courses. And if something looks really useful, just bookmark it for later.

I know I found too much information meant going round in circles during my first few months!

Good luck, gerry - it'll happen.

Hey Gerry - keep the faith! There is a lot of information out there just choose some proven startegies and work hard on them - spend a couple of hours a day doing it and you will be rewarded for your time! You might not see results immediately but if you keep up the hard work you will. The 30 day challenge is great though! Great recommendation!

Gerry,

Can you provide links to these 3 webpages you are promoting and not getting sales from your efforts? Are they the ones in your siggy, or something you developed yourself?

Some of us may be able to give you advice on presentation and appearance if they are yours.

Gerry,

Based on the traffic you've been receiving from your PPC ads, look at the impressions received for each of the keywords. The ones that have 20 or above are good keywords for you to use to build articles or webpages around.

That can help you cut down on your costs.

In my business I do all free advertising and have never paid for advertising. I get a good response from youtube and safelists. If you are using free methods you have to do a lot of it. It does not happen overnight so you have to be patient. Also, keep track of what is working and what isn't otherwise you will waste time on things that don't work.

Hope that helps.
