Ok, after reading just the last page of posts about this company, I started doing a little research on the company. It took me probably less than 5 minutes to know that in no way would I want to be associated with a company with what I found.

I'm sure I could find much more if I wanted to take the time to, but there's no need for me to search any further.

My I also recommend that when you are looking for a legitimate, honest, and ethical company that you start with at least this basic research. I looked at many companies in the past 20 years and did not decide to do any of them until I ran across the one I am associated with now. After I did my research on that company, and believe me, I actually tried to find a negative and I couldn't, I started my home based business with them...and I still couldn't be any happier...as matter of fact, I like it more and more every day.

Sorry, I didn't mean to get on my soap box. I tend to ramble on. So. here's the research I did on Internet Speedway. You can go to the same places online and see the exact same information I did.

1) I looked brierly at their web site and couldn't fine a physical address for the company.
2) I searched for nternet Speedway on Google and found the site InternetSpeedway dot com. Then I went to their site and from waht I saw, I was resonably sure it was the company being posted about here.
3) I looked up the company on the Better Business Bureau site and saw all the complaints they have registered for the company.
4) And of course i read a few of the posts here.

Oh, I almost forgot,
5) I searched for who the domain belongs to on whois dot com and it is not registed publicly, which means the company does not want us to know who the domain belongs to.

So, when you think you've found the RIGHT company for you...please, please, please do you research.

Regards,

Mike Pressnell

Hello I use internet speedway, and I was wondering do you use your own products or both?

STAY AWAY!!!!

I was lucky; I did not get too far into the process of setting up a web page. They tried to pitch me the "We will create the web page for you; it will only cost you 5,000" WOW that is allot of money... So I did some digging.

In my professional life I am a technical analyst. So I started to analyze their system this is what I found: I looked up an item it will call it "widget" on Internet speedway online warehouse site. They had the widget whole sale price set for $10.00 + Drop shipping $1.95 + Postage $6.00. So your cost is $17.95, on top of that you need to need to make a profit. So you make the price of the widget $19.99. So your profit is Approx $2.00 per widget. OK that is fine, but what I did is a search on the internet for the EXACT same widget and found that I could purchase it from another store and shipped to my house for $14.99. So am I going to spend $15.00 for the widget or $20.00. That is a no brainier.
When I brought this up to my counselor. The line went silent, they had no answer for me. They basically confirmed that I was right and that was that... So I thought... I told them that I wanted to cancel the membership. I contacted my credit card company and told them if Internet speedway TRIES to post a charge to my card I am going to dispute it. My credit card company flagged my account for any charges from Internet Speedway. They did try to charge my card, but my credit card company went to bat for me and I ended up not paying for the 5 payments of 69.95.

Anyone that is thinking about Internet Speedway, just simply do what I did. Pick 5 - 10 Items out of the internet speedway online catalog and do a little research on your own.

What are other online stores asking for the same product?

How much is shipping?

How much is handling?

What I am saying is do some research on the products that you are going to try to sell. Make sure that you can be completive with other online stores.

I found that I could not be completive

My husband gave me the number after hearing the broadcast on the radio. I called and spoke to a rep, however I didn't give him any credit card info just my address, phone # and e-mail. w/i a couple of min I did receive a e-mail telling me how I can get started, but I didn't open. I hope they don't send anything, since I didn't pay for anything. We will see

I got snagged by them. I ordered the intro package to take a look. Then I got busy with kids, etc., and did not even open the box for a few weeks. I knew I was over my trial period, and figured I would take a look at it today.

I called my consultant. He mostly just tried to upsell me to buy a "Superstore" which was going to be so much better. I got a few url's from him of client sites. Look at this one: theipodstore. com . What a joke. For a minimum of $1800 !

So I decided I would just cancel and eat the cost of what I already paid, which was about $100. I was astounded that the rude little twerp named Max on the phone said I am still liable for the remaining 4 payments of 69.95 .

How do these people go home at night and look at their loved ones and feel proud of what they do?

I am not saying you cannot make money with this. I just decided that I did not want to continue to make payments on something that I realize I don't have time to use. I was not trying to get refunded what I paid, just stop the future charges.

Be warned if you are just checking this company out. Follow the fine print carefully.

I can't address any of the particulars hat some of you have brought up but I recently decided to give IS a try and when I called I was carefully informed of every charge that many of you say you never heard of. The 9.99 shipping, the 69.95 monthly billings or a one time charge of $250 if you pay up front, the 29.95 a month hosting fees...they were all laid out and then carefully re-iterated and the conversation recorded. I was specifically told that the trial date began on the day the software shipped and that I needed to be aware that as of the 31st day I would be unable to obtain a refund.

Maybe this is an opportunity to work hard and build something and maybe it's pie in the sky....I've yet to find out. However, I am encouraged at how well the customer service rep I spoke with covered every item, answered every question, even those that were not favorable to IS, and I felt informed when I made the decision to check this out further.

Rest assured, if this does turn out to be some sort of scam I will be back to let you know.

And if any of you think that because I didn't trash this company that I am an "IS Insider" I will give you whatever contact information you request to prove otherwise.

FYI: Those of you who think that anyone who speaks well of this opportunity HAS to be an insider is coming across poorly....I think "Sour Grapes" is the term.

For all of you who feel that ISpeedway is a scam, I have found a great way to prevent others from being scammed.

I simply contacted all of the other legitimate advertisers on the radio stations where ISpeedway advertises and let them know that I would be boycotting their products as long as they continued to advertise with stations who also allowed companies like Ispeedway to advertise with them. I made it clear that there would be no way for me to believe that they were legit if I were to hear about them in the same place as a scam like ISpeedway. I let them know that I would be sharing this opinion with as many people as possible. I also contacted the radio stations and made sure they understood that ISpeedway was the reason that other clients may be pulling their ads.

Amazingly it took very little effort to get the radio stations to ban ISpeedway from advertising with them. Legitimate companies take boycotts very seriously when they have the ability to validate the complaints. I am guessing it wasn't difficult for them to validate the complaints against ISpeedway.

If we cannot get an attorney to figure out a clever classaction law suit then this would be the second best thing. If ISpeedway gets banned from advertisiing on the radio altoghether then they might not be able to generate enough new scams to stay in business.

have read a bunch of these posts and I too called ISpeedway. I did this before finding this site obviously but I don't really think it's a scam so to speak. They are a business like any other. What a lot of people fail to do (myself included) is read the user agreements and fine print. This is what I believe is what is causing most of the bashing in here. I cancelled my account after reading these posts but I also had other reasons. Mainly because I didn't find it a very easy to configure setup as well as I took a look at the products in their warehouse. I am into computers and building custom systems so I thought I would look into selling some stuff they had to offer for starters and see if I could get together enough money to start buying my parts rather inexpensively and building my own systems to sell. Well after browsing thier products I found most of them to be sub standard items and things I would NEVER put in my own systems. Then there is the fact that after all the fees and charges I would make about 2 bucks, if that, on a particular part. I would have to sell hundreds of items to make even the slightest amount of profit. The way they get you started is at the bottom unless of course you can find 5000 bucks lying around and even then I wouldn't expect too much.

I did not, however, have any trouble canceling my account. All it took was a phone call and following the instructions, complicated and overkill as they may be, but I do not expect to see any further charges to my credit card. I am however prepared if they try to take advantage of it.

I guess in a nut shell all I'm saying is that take a little time to read and research, as many have pointed out in here, before you go off the deep end and start calling them scammers. They are in business t5o make money and I'm certain they do. Like any contract you enter into there are rules and regulations and if not followed properly could result in obligations you are not prepared for.

Hi! i just purchased the program and did not even think to research a site like this until after I had given out my CC #. Regardless, I agree that you need to put forth some effort to make this work. would you be so kind as to giving me some pointers on how you've made this successful to work for you? Multiple domain names, a few specific products, or many? Etc. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your reply. I can be emailed also at [email protected].

Could you please tell me what you thought of the warehouses that Internet Speedway offers? Is there enough products to get started? How was your experience dealing with the warehouse? I am looking into this and the warehouse portion for this offer leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

By the way, if you use a MAC, you have to buy an additional program ($149.99) for your hard drive just to use the getting started disk. If you really want a website business, go to Best Buy, find one of the geek squad guys and ask them:
If I give you $5000.00, will you or someone you know build me a site and optimize it on the search engines?
I assure you, you will get far better service from someone that knows what they are doing. Not just someone upselling.

oscarscamvictim.
PLEASE stay away from this company. 2 months ago I contacted ispeedway to try and find out what the business is all about. someone answer the phone right away. same deal as we other users they try to offer and sale all kinds of stuff. 29.99 59.99 299 minus 100 if you seal the deal right now""" sounds familiar""" and quickly they got my phone number and after 5 minutes on the phone the guy was giving up on me because he wanted my credit card right away. and I told him am I only going to get charge 9.95 for S&H and he said YES. after asking around to some friends and looking in Google and yahoo all the answers in response to ispeedway I got so freaking scared about ispeedway and contact my credit card people and told them that my credit card was stolen. I called ispeedway to cancel my account with them and they ask why?? you haven't tried it yet .... and my response was I found something else and my friends suggested to cancel right away due to the nasty experience they had with YOU and are you ready? okay. after I cancel I received an email saying that I am suppose to return the stuff right away within 2 weeks a placed the order. it took one week and half to received the box and I sent it FedEx over night just to make sure they have it on time. My friend is an attorney and told me to make copies of the emails I received from them, the credit card bill, the cost of FedEx and get delivery confirmation if you can, also tracking number helps and this is very important try to spend some money with sending the box FAST over night if possible. or priority mail they will do whatever it takes to charge you at least ones more to get their moneys worth. ah! I didn't activate the code and I didn't accept the terms and conditions and finally I cc'ed my attorney all the paper work he requested and he will contact BBB. I am not sure how people do business this away by the way I am trying to contact the Radio station that promotes this kind of fraud to our community.

Hopefully I can escape relatively unscathed. I heard their ad on the radio, a station I usually find trustworthy, and called for a FREE cd. I thought that I would see what they were about and then if I liked it I would start. Unfortunately I gave them my debit card numbers before I researched it on the internet. I called my bank same day and tried to get everything set up to stop the payment. I called back ispeedway and the "canceled" my order. I have quotes because I've gotten the email of cancellation that others have apparently gotten.

I'm going to be keeping a close watch on my bank account for the next week or two and make sure I don't have any horror stories like are being shared here.

It's unfortunate that I've been reading posts from 06 and its 08 now.

Hey Dudes, I don't understand why you are trying to lock opportunities to other people to make more money per year in an interesting workathome utility. I was working with this and nothing bad happened. After this, I decided to start my own hosting business and it's working perfectly.

Just try, be careful and persistent.

Regards

internet speedway is a scam and so is doba wholesalemarketer.com don't waste your money. I have also been a member of SMC (crappy products with high shipping charges) and others. So far the best thing that has been working is going to garage sales and thrift stores and selling those items on ebay. But now even ebays fees are getting too high, so I am also on a bunch of free auction sites like ziing.com and others. Just google free ebay alternative, and a bunch will come up. It works for us and it can work for you too. The more sites your on, the more people you have looking at your items.

Have a good day.

Educate yourself and learn to identify scams. Research and read as many reviews as possible about the programs you're interested in.

Experience has taught me that if it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is.

Cheers for now
