Hi there, my name is Bryce and I am new here! I came here for a reason, and that was to see what people were talking about, when they were discussing work-at-home opportunites. WHY? Well because ymy forte is developing solutions to problems, and in my own search of online opportunites of late, I came across a fundamental reason why I would navigate away from most websites I landed on. When I realised what was happening, it dawned on me that if I was doing this, so must thousands of other people, and this could be a HUGE problem for the site owners who were wanting sales!

From there I conducted some research through my own professional contacts (all of whom run proper 'bricks & mortar' businesses) who all have professional websites online. My question to them was this, "If I was able to prove to you that your website contained a flaw that cost you a sale, what would you do about it?" In 86% of cases, I was told that the 'flaw' would be fixed!! This told me immediately that there was a potential market of at least 80% of all site owners with these issues!

Then I decided to spend 5 weeks straight, surfing the internet to see of all the sites I landed on, "How many of them contained this flaw?" From 1300 sites landed on, more than 70% contained a reason for concern!!! When I took the 'conservative' estimate of 100 million sites online (2006 figures) - I could see that there was a total potential market for services of more than 80 million sites, and from those, if 87% of owners wanted this 'flaw' dealt with, I was looking down the barrel of a massive 65 million (plus) market!

The final piece of information I needed was to see how many people felt like I do, and therefore when they came across this 'flaw' when landing on any webpage, how many of them would immedately shut the page down, surf to another site, but certainly not purchase anything from the original site? I again turned to my own contacts, and from more than 60 people asked the queston, 42 told me they would act the same way I do!

So, to sum it up, If your website falls into the category of containing the flaw, you can almost guarantee, that 64% (64 from every 100) of your site visitors, WILL NOT proceed past the first page!!

Now, here comes the interesting bit (well that was interesting too, I guess, lol) To find this 'flaw' requires human intervention, and I have already seen some members on this forum express that they too, believe this is a major issue in the online commuity. This is where my 'soulution attitude' came in, and I decided to look at the feasibllity of STARTING a new -Work-At-Home 'craze' just like the email processing entrepreneurs, and survey entrepreneurs did all those years ago.

People looking for 'GENUINE' work-from-home, would be able to contract to us, and this would entitle them to work on those 60 million plus websites that decided the 'flaw' needed to be sourced, and fixed. We wouldnt fix it, we would simply report it, and this is all that would be required of the home-workers. We would conduct all marketing to the site owners, by offering a FREE analysis of one page (URL) on thier site, and we would supply that work to our home worker. When we had a full analysis completed (within a couple of hours, if we have enough home workers) we would furnish the report to the site owner. This would act as proof positive for the owner, because they can immediately check our analysis against thier page, and tell immediately that we do in fact do what we say we will do.

Of course from that point, the site owner is likely to pay for a 'complete' site analysis, and will probably also subscribe to our 'ongoing' analysis, for when any new pages are added to the site, or when other sites are set up by the same owner.

My estimates to date, would suggest that Home Workers would earn an average $40(US) per hour, with very little experience required.

My question I guess, for this forum (and it is the only forum I have posted in about this to date)..... Does it sound interesting to anybody, from any perspective??? :)

I would be interested in getting into a work from home business on the ground floor like your idea suggest. I see myself as a "proof reader" on web sites. is that what you are talking about?

Hi Gail and thanks for the reply! Proof reading with an edge, and a very targeted approach. We are looking for two things, and these are what make me cringe every time I see them. They are also responsible for so much lost sales, that I beleive people are silly to let them slip through, for the world to see.

Just today I added a further 22 sites that immediately present with the problem.

If you are interested, I will keep you informed via email. If you would like to PM me with your details.

Do you have any online activities at present?

Regards
Bryce

This sounds like a rather interesting idea, but why should we trust you that you will follow through with paying $40 an hour should we join and generate enough business? One of the biggest problems with work ar home opportunities is the lack of proper payout.

Hi Purple,

totally understand, and this is why I am also pissed off about the opportunities that present themselves currently. Firstly though I said $40 (average) per hour, and some jobs would be more, some may be less, but the payments would be on job by job basis.

Next, you would not be generating any business at all, that would all be dome for you. This is definatley just like if you were working for a company, but from home. The work is aquired through our marketing efforts, and when we get it, we make the jobs available to you. Just like if you were in the next room at our office.

The only reason I have decided to consider the online concept, is becuse of the time it would require to do it all myself. I have a great team of people around me, but each is a specialist in thier own field and each is located in an offshore location. The logistics involved in pulling it all together in one location, do not make any sense, and when I saw that there was a need for people to have a genuine opportunity to 'actually' work at home, this made much more sense.

There would be an opportuinity to run this as an affiliate program as well, so that 'home workers' would be able to make a commission on people they introduced to work.

I guess what I am saying here, is that this is a 'Ground Floor' opportunity. Those who would like to get involved, on the basis of the information I have already provided, would be welcome to have a more active role in the establishment of various aspects of the operation. I am at this point, simply getting an idea of the interest.

As far as trust goes, I can offer nothing more than my word, but Purple, I am one of the old school, where my word is my bond

However if you can introduce a method to provide you with peace of mind about the payments - please let me know. As I said, ground floor interested parties, are welcome to input thier ideas. Together we could make this something very lucrative and very efficient.

I like it! Perfect for all of us highly educated SAHMs! I have 10 years of management experience and 3 university degrees and it drives me CRAZY that I have to go to an office to get the salary I deserve. When I was AT the office, I spent all of my time in front of my computer (yes, even for meetings, virtual).

Let me know how you get on...

I think you've hit on a great idea! I would like to see your idea and opportunity come to fruition and would enjoy being a part of it. I'm retired and spend some time doing surveys, etc, but looking for something that would pay better.

Hi guys, sorry for the absence but my notification system was not updating me when messages were posted. I have also been tidying up some smaller projects to enable the time to develop this project. Thanks for the comments.

Jasmin, of course I wont forget those down under

I am going to formalise a list of people interested in the next couple of days, and then we can start communicating on a different level. Does everyone have Skype?

Very interesting... please keep me informed on this one. But doesn't that remind you of one of the GPT sites where you look at websites for a brief moment and take a short survey asking if the website interests you in anyway. Was it eye catching enough to explore it more, ect.

Hi there Allwinners,
I am interested to find out what your concept is and the most important thing, how much is this going to cost us??. I haven't seen a post that asks this question so I am asking it. After all, we (the consumers) do not know anything about this concept of yours except for what you told us in your first post.
I don't have Skype but I do have Yahoo & MSN messengers which I will be glad to share with anyone that is interested in this idea. (Get hold of me through this forum) I have been looking for a work from home "job" for a lot of years and if this idea is a good one, I will pursue it (if it shows me that I can make money doing it)

My Questions.
Who would we report the flaw to?
Are these large company based websites? (If so, wouldn't they have their own IT systems dept to fix them?)
Why would these website owners pay for reports about their websites being flawed?

The only reason I am asking these questions is because I used to work for the Worlds largest sports apparel company and we NEVER got any emails or phone calls about flaws on our websites which was more than 15 sites at one time.
Sorry for all the questions but we all need to know who we are dealing with and how we will make money from this.
Dave.

Hi,
I am interested in proofreading and/or writing part.
Though I am not sure how this can be generated as a business opportunity from home-like availability of work, payments etc but if it works out, will love to be part of it.
Now, I know I ahve made some typos here but that is 4 u to check ur proofreading skills
Cheers!
