Does anyone know of any companies that hire you to work at home, similar to the ones here, except instead of using the phone you just use the computer? I see lots of web sites with online chat or online help and such so I know someone must hire them. Thanks for any help.

I have wondered about that myself so am curious if someone knows...that would be so nice for a lot of Moms as they wouldn't have to worry about all the background music that way!

That's kind of what I was thinking, and you wouldn't be hoarse after a long shift of talking your head off. I found several companies that sell the software for such and a few that say they outsource operators but I can't seem to find one that actually hires you, not yet anyway. Vicky

Auralog hires for online chat, and some of the web hosting companies also hire CSR for support through chat

Hey vagabond,
I heard about those work too. Not really sure if it's legit though. But if you were referring to customer support help work, then that's completely legit and many companies like Accenture for instance hire people to work from home for that kind of job.

I have worked for 3 of the companies above but I do know a lot of people in the business that most of the companies are good & reputable. I say most because there are 1 or 2 that I really don't know anything about. Good luck

jeffathome I e-mailed text121chat and received the following reply back: "Regarding your links below "Work at home chat Only hires from US, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, & South Africa" ... Work at home chat "... Pays direct deposit for the UK and by check for the US and other countries" THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US AND THE INFORMATION IS INCORRECT AND WAS NOT POSTED BY AN OFFICIAL OF 121 THESE MESSAGE BOARDS ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH US. WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR INFORMATION POST AGAINST OUR RULES BY PEOPLE THAT WE DO NOT EVEN KNOW."
I posted this e-mail on site, to avoid others from wasting their time filling in the questionaire and awaiting response from text121chat if they are not from US or/& USA.

No Goats will not answer emails. If you want to get on with them you have to add them to your MSN messenger and when they are hiring you will see them online. Also from that list Jet Netting, Papillon Agency, TPTP.US, and Zweiloewen are no longer in business.
