Is it online? If so, what sites do you use? What type of work do you do?

Or are you currently working an offline opportunity? Or maybe telecommuting for a large company?

My businesses are online, so I use online marketing strategies. I use a variety of things to advertise.....classifieds, articles, press releases, etc. The one business I am promoting is awesome because it teaches you HOW to advertise ANYTHING using very in depth video tutorials. The nice thing is you can use paid advertising or free, depends on your budget. They all work. I basically work part time from home using my computer, and it's really the best thing.

I'm an affiliate marketer. Basically, I send traffic to company websites in exchange for a commission.

I transcribe at home for local hospitals, have been doing this for 11 years, and I make a very decent living.

Incoporate what you are interested in with what you do best. There is no 'best way to make money' , it depends on the individual. Sure, there are better ways and worse ways, but if you get involved with something you know a lot about and are passionate about, then look for things in that area.

Hi,
I work online building websites using SBI's sitebuilding tools and program. They taught me step by step how to do it.

My first two sites are mostly affiliate marketing which is what getagrip described where you send visitors to your site on to other sites for products they are looking for related to your site's topic. When they make a purchase you get a commission.

My third site is just getting started - almost a month old. It will have some affiliate marketing, too, but it is mainly built with a network marketing (MLM) company in mind. So that would be considered direct sales and then hopefully some of those customers will decide to build a business (online or offline) because they discover the benefits and quality of the products. I will then benefit more as a result.

That is what I have found to be "best" for me. As Marktech mentioned, each person has to decide what is best for them.

Mine is mostly online but I like personal contact so I try to get back to people via phone as much as I can instead of just sending emails.

But I guess it would be considered online as far as marketing as I like to use methods such as writing articles, blogging, etc to draw traffic to my sites.

I can do that in the wee hours or late hours before my kids are all up...

I am working on an SBI site as well, as I have time, but my main effort is Coastal Vacations which is what I do as a business.

I have done everything from selling baked goods, quilting, cutting firewood, cleaning houses to owning a traditional business and I absolutely love what we can accomplish with the internet these days in the comfort of our homes!

Everybody seems to be looking for that magic pill. The best way. There really isn't a best way. Some ways work for some people and other ways work for others. It pretty much depends on how much time you can put into a program and your ability to understand what you're getting into.

I always joked that I could make a living selling pencils on a street corner.

Not sure if I really could, but that was my philosohy and it worked for me.

The easier the program sounds to make tons of money, the likelyhood is that most people will fail in the venture, but some will be gangbusters and make $10,000.00 per month.

I say, look for something that people buy on a regular basis. Something that needs to be replaced or replenished and at a reasonable price. Also something of reasonable good quality.

Phineas Taylor Barnum said it well, "There's a sucker born every minute."

I am a freelance writer. I also blog for a few networks and make a nice income from them-in fact one of my blogs is about working from home! In addition I am a website moderator for a huge media company and it pays very well.

I agree with those who said figure out what you are good at/passionate about and go from there. The most successful work at homers have a skill or interest that they've been able to market.
Believe me, there is more out there than MLM and sales. Oh, and ignore any "opportunity" that promises high incomes fast or with no experience. 99.9999% are scams.

I think the best way to earn money onle is have your own website or if you cann't design then you have your own blog. The real money is here only. You can earn from google adsense( GOD of all online earning!!!!), affililiate programs such as commission junction and if your blog/website becomes popular then you can consider selling text links and products even.

In my opinion, affiliate marketing is "hands down" the best way to make money online. You have to invest some time in it just like any other money making endeavour, but the benefits outweight all other methods. <--that's my humble opinion.

I realize that not everyone is necessarily cut out for affiliate marketing, but if you are wanting to make money online, you should at least give it a look.

Affiliate marketing is the only business I know of, online or off, that can be done with little or no investment. Just a computer and internet connection. To pull it off - and here's the only "secret" I know of that works - write good quality content! Write something that solves a problem or provides interesting, useful info. If you can write good content then all you have to do is put links in the content to your affiliate programs and name your content with keyword phrases that are not getting a lot of competition. You can post free content on Squidoo, HubPages or USFREE ads and Ezine articles.

Hello,I work mainly online,say 90% and 10% offline marketing.
I am an agent for my travel company which is active in over 96 countries.

I love the fact that online marketing allows me the ability to tap into a much wider audience than say my local area.
But that said I also like to develop business contacts and generate sales through my local area which works well.
I think product is key,is it highly consumerable?
There is a vast list of resources available to us all as far as marketing goes, but the important factor is consistency.
Plugging away, plugging away and being open to help advice and being able to say "this avenue of advertising isnt working, stop, move on,explore other options".
Loving your company, product, your business is vital-it shows to others.

Hello!
I am a member of the Wealthy Affiliate University.
I build websites, (not from scratch), write articles, blogs, build Hub Pages and Squidoo Lenses. And I have been an eBay retail seller since 2002. Before that a Travel Consultant
I did not expect to like writing..the more I do the more I love it!
It is fun to see my writing published on other sites as well!
Have a great weekend, Victoria

It's online. I mentor people new to the home based business industry basically how to set up their own home business and most importantly I teach them how to market their home business effectively on the Internet.

I teach my students the latest and most effective Web 2.0 Marketing Techniques that they can implement with their current businesses and see amazing results.

I earn 100% of my income on line.

It started as a hobby and ended up earning money. As the money started coming in I thought it was time for me to learn exactly what I was doing so I started learning how to optimize my sites.

It's been a lot of fun so it doesn't feel like work. I write about what ever I feel like writing about and I get to play around with photography and graphic design.

The funny thing is, I used to do what I do and not get paid for it because I enjoyed it so much. I just figured out how to make money from it.

If I can do it, anyone can do it.

I am working on-line and making money every day.

This is what I do:

I buy an ad package. I surf. I get a rebate for surfing every day. (BTW, 24 sites a day is the MOST I will ever have to surf at 15 seconds a site, to earn the rebate.) That equals to about 6 minutes a day.

I upgrade with the rebate I got to buy another ad package the next day. Then that day I surf again. I get rebated for that days surfing. The next day, I upgrade to another ad package with the rebate I just earned. I surf again. This process continues until I am making enough to take a weekly payment! I decide when that is!

It really is that simple!

Becky

I absolutely love my business! I have tried many things before like Ebay etc. but nothing compares with Fortune! You are able to make a serious legitimate income and earn residual income for years to come. The support is absolutely phenominal. I have never seen anything like it!
