I'm building a site for my art business. We sell oil paintings. We have about 1800 products to list. For the past 2 months I've been trying to build a site using Homestead Store front. It is so un-user friendly
I'm about to ditch it and start over. Does anyone know of a great website program? One that has support, SEO help..ect. Thanks.

I would ask MountainMom, a member of this forum.
Try to have fun with it too!

Hands down, SiteBuildIt (SBI) is the best for what you want to accomplish. I have three SBI sites myself and they all make me good money.

But please don't go search for it on Google and then click a link!

Instead, honor a member of this Forum by clicking on their affiliate link. MountainMom is a great choice for that--she contributes a lot to this Forum. Find one of her posts, and click on her affiliate link in her signature (the link that says something about SiteBuildIt or SBI).

"Happywife" is another member who is an SBI affiliate and who contributes a ton to this Forum. She's another good choice for someone who wants to purchase SiteBuildIt and "pay it forward" at the same time.

Here's a thread that has posts from both MountainMom and Happywife:

Site Build It versus Building A Website From Scratch

All the Best,

Mark

After your site is set up get quality back links to help to quickly increase rankings in the search engines.

Absolutely agreed - and I am so glad to have another SBIer on board here... thanks Mark for the kind words... and here is why SBI is a great choice. Not only will it help you build a decent website but it will also help you learn how to build a webpage that gets targeted traffic for free.

Good luck!

why you are not using ebay..if you have good stuff, you can set up an ebay store which is quite easy and then sell them their. it very easy to learn selling on ebay. you can also use auctiva stores which is just 9.95 a month and their shopping cart can be integrated with paypal.

I agree that Ebay and Amazon are great places to sell but You need to be careful though, as Ebay/Paypal fees can eat up all your profit, if you don't know what you are doing!
