Remove it when you're not using it.

Removing the battery when running on A/C keeps your laptop cooler also.
Turns A/C into A/C? No, the charger overheats many laptops, especially Dells.
Pulling the battery when not in use will prolong the battery and computer life.
Exercise your battery regularly so it doesn't get lazy on you.

Yeah, for me I have to change to a new battery every 2.5-3 years.

I have a Dell laptop and it drives me crazy when I the battery has been with me for that long and it will only give me like 2 minutes of battery time.

I need to buy a new one but it is like over $140.
