Hi, Long time reader, rare poster.
I have experience in various fields of working from home potential, i am a self tought web designer, I have experience with affiliate sites such as Amazon, CLickbank etc, I have earned a few squid from Google Adsense (free footy streaming site) and I am experienced in wholesale and dropshipping.
Basically I wanted to ask how many of you actually earn enought to make a living from working at home (even if it is still a 2nd income) and what kind of things do you do and earn.
Obviously I dont expect you to be stupid enough to tell me detail and exact amounts etc, im just wondering about general ideas.
I am now looking to spend all my time improving what i do as I have so many domains and wasted sites and If I actually give up my time, I KNOW it will be worth it.
Cheers

You can make a full time income if you have high traffic websites and /or diversify.

It sounds like you have experience in everything that we do around here.
Sometimes success is just in doing more of it.

Making a living working from home and the amount needed can vary because people have a different financial demands.
I'm a full-time home business professional. Some months I fell poorer than others, but looking to soon break into 5 figure monthly cash flow.
Even with all the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur I wouldn't change it...21 years of doing my own thing, no turning back now. Onward to higher peaks.

I do this full time, some months are better that others. I get the bills paid, barely, but I do see a trending of an increase with every week. The more you do the more it grows. I did have a set back this week with my Squidoo lens being locked, but that was my fault. I do a few things offline on the side like cleaning a house here and there or catering a few lunches, and have bartended to earn extra cash, but most of my money comes from online.
I have always used OWM, but I guess this setback is a sign I need to build my own site now.

I work full time in Direct Sales with a company that markets functional coffee. This affords me a lifestyle that lets me spend more time with my wife and allows me to set my own schedule. That and I can feel productive without having to deal with corporate politics.

Hi Teeza,
I work from home full-time doing transcription online. I usually receive very close to what I made working at an office, but that's as long as I do work 40 hours a week or more. The flexibility is much better than at an office and so is the dress code, , but you do still have to put in the time.
You mentioned that you have so many sites not really doing anything, and I think that is one of my problems with my internet marketing type work as well. There my advice to you, as well as myself, would be to focus in more on one thing until it gets really going and then move onto another. It's just so easy to get overwhelmed with too many things that I do nothing!
Good luck! Diane

I left the office setting for freelancing full-time in July of this year. My wife just left her corporate job the first of October.
It can be done with planning and hard work. I work approx 40-50 hours a week, when I want, and make more than double what I was bringing in from a full-time job.
The number one important thing to remember is that you have to build your business(es) every day. You can and will be successful keeping that in mind.

teezageeza: I am now looking to spend all my time improving what i do as I have so many domains and wasted sites and If I actually give up my time, I KNOW it will be worth it. We all hear that little voice in our head that whispers advice from time to time, and we know intuitively when we ought to follow that advice.
Problem is, we sometimes adopt a casual attitude and take our own sweet time getting to it. We don't always respond with the urgency, discipline and dedication that's necessary to move us forward far and fast.
But, nothing happens before its time!
And speaking of "time", very often we end up prolonging the length of time it takes to accomplish something because we fail to apply the right quality of time.
diane622: There my advice to you, as well as myself, would be to focus in more on one thing until it gets really going and then move onto another. Smart advice. When you successfully get one thing going, you acquire the skill, knowledge and understanding that makes it easier to replicate that success elsewhere.
kencraw: The number one important thing to remember is that you have to build your business(es) every day. You can and will be successful keeping that in mind. Exactly! Consistent effort is the best formula for developing discipline, pounding procrastination into submission, and marching steadily towards success. You must be calculatingly relentless!

Well, I'm just new in this field and I also want to be more competitive. I guess someday. I'll take note all your words guys.

I have some part time stuff I still do on the side... I make enough online that it could possibly keep the bills paid but we are marching towards the 'debt free' stage and every penny counts when you are getting close.
Plus with 4 kids (9 - 18) there is ALWAYS something that needs to be bought it seems like!
I work at a pizza restaurant a couple days a week and the writing is on the wall with that job because of the economy so am thinking I may be home more before I know it.
I have ALWAYS had too many irons in the fire and because of that have not put all the efforts into each stream of income that needs to be done, so....
I have been working on tying up loose campaign ends and tightening up things to free up more time to work on my SBI site as that is definitely where most of my IM income will come from eventually.
The important thing is to have a goal that you are working towards... and keep in mind that it can take a few years for things to fully materialize for you with websites , etc... that is if you consistently work on them for several years!
That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Thanks for all the honest advise and inspiration. I think that if you have the need and desire, you can make it happen. You just have to keep working. Especially when your working from home it can be easy to slack off sometimes. but you have to keep reminding yourself what it is your trying to accomplish and keep on trying - even on the tough and slow days.
