Some time ago in my state there was a lot of publicity in print and media about discovery of a technology which drives vehicles on water. A day was fixed and prominent personalities including politicians were invited for the big event. There was a huge gathering expecting something spectacular to happen. Surprisingly, the event turned out to be a damp squib and a non event. It is a lot of talk about a technology which does not exist. If you come across any such talk or ebook, just keep away from it. Well, if you enjoy fiction, go for it.

Well,Well what varied replies. We would all like to find something, maybe water to run our cars on. It is very interesting.I do not know anyone using this, but did see a few of the websites. I agree with one of the replies that if this is true, using water with gas,I am sure the oil companies will be ending it soon. A lot of technical stuff,I will stick with gas for now.

As I said earlier in this post, I found a built product on E-bay and have emailed all the customers who purchased for their opinion - Let you know when I get something back.

here is another site about hydrogens
http://www.gas-water-car.com/

reading this it seems to me very interesting.

I've heard that BMW announced his first hydrigen car

cheers from Europe

please send me a copy too!! [email protected] (yes, it's real)

PNL Travel:
They are both converting H2O to HHO in the end.

electrolysis used on water produces O(2) (oxygen) 2H(2)O (2 water molecules) H(2) (Hydrogen)...HHO is nothing. HHO is nothing, it can't exist. Just say hydrogen and oxygen.

Marktech:
Honestly, If there were really anything out there like that - that worked - would the oil companies not squelch it pretty quick?

how do you keep people from tinkering in their own homes?

ljeb:
You are simply adding another fuel (a mixture of 2:1 Hydrogen and Oxygen gas) to your engine. So for you to see an increase in gas mileage, you have to adjust your car to send less gasoline to the cylinders

half yes, half no. What's most important here is the OXYGEN you are adding to the engine, not the hydrogen. This concept basically is a mild version of adding nitrous oxide to your car. Nitrogen is not flammable, and air is only about 20% oxygen. Fire needs 3 things (in balance) to exist. Heat, oxygen, and fuel. When you take a very hot engine, run it on gasoline, and use air as the oxygen, you get a fire that is unbalanced for a lack of oxygen. Add pure oxygen to your engine and it would overheat in seconds. Add a careful mixture of nitrogen and oxygen, and you get a drag racer. Add a small mixture of oxygen and hydrogen and lean out the gasoline and you burn less gasoline.

fixit:
The gears, belts, fans and everything els are already turning and all the alternator does is engage with one of the things already being turned....so it's not actually taking from the engine in any way

doctechnical:
Putting additional load on the electrical system most definitely puts additional load on the engine

doctechnical is right. Your alternator is a reverse electric motor. When you draw more electricity, the alternator is harder to turn, which makes the engine work harder, which burns more fuel, obviously.

lew:
Wish you were all just kidding! This can not work because he law of conservation of energy states that the total amount of energy in any isolated system remains constant but cannot be recreated, although it may change forms, e.g. friction turns kinetic energy into thermal energy.

VBGuy:
most of the potential energy in gasoline is not used durning the combustion process. The introduction of HHO gas into the fuel mix MAY increase the amount of energy that is extractable from the gasoline through chemical and/or physical interaction with the fuel air mixture.

The oxygen added to the engine allows you to get more energy from the gasoline and the hydrogen, so it is not an isolated system. You may not get all the hydrogen and oxygen needed to replace the energy used in the electrolysis process...but the oxygen may be used by the gasoline to make up for it. I will be trying this on my car very soon.

VBGuy:
The gas is very flammable and you should NEVER attempt to store it. This is why it's created on demand. I've read it can explode when stored since it carries its own oxidizing agent.

hydrogen by itself is just as dangerous as gasoline, but different type of danger. Hydrogen and oxygen mixed in perfect proportions as a result of electrolysis is a bomb. Ever heard of a hydrogen bomb?

I also have seen the first Honda commercial for their new Hydrogen car.

They say it will "run on water" and only produces "water vapors".
I thought you will need to fill it up with hydrogen but they said
"water". If so, many would be disappointed to know they're wrong
and amazed at the science that makes this possible.

I, myself, hope you could "fill it up" with water instead of
"hydrogen".

Wonder what the price on a hydrogen powered vehicle would be...

Umm, the hydrogen bomb has nothing to do with electrolysis. It is a nuclear fusion device that is activated by an atomic bomb. There is a fusion of nuclei which can only be produced by extremely high pressure and or temperature. The atomic bomb (nuclear fission) is used to make the high temperatures needed to produce fusion. About four to five times the temperature at the center of the sun.

The oxygen being added to the engine (from the hydrogen and oxygen being produced) has minimal effect on the gasoline. This is because gasoline only burns as a vapor. The way the engine is designed forces gasoline to stay a liquid, thus very little is a vapor. The unburned gasoline goes into the catalytic converter and is then turned into H2O, N2, O2, and C02, as well as a few other, all by the catalyst platinum.
If you only dumped Hydrogen into the combustion chamber and relied on Oxygen in the Air for the rest of your combustion process, you would end up with a very weak explosion. When the water is subjected to electrolysis it produces Hydrogen and Oxygen in the correct proportions to produce them maximum energy from the combustion.
The problem is being able to produce enough gas (HHO and this is correct because you are producing twice as much Hydrogen as Oxygen by this process. There are two Hydrogen atoms on one Oxygen atom in each molecule of water. These are separated by the electrolysis. This would change 2 moles of water into 2 moles of Hydrogen and 1 mole of Oxygen. Another way to say this would be 2H2 + O2, but it is much easier and nicer to say HHO.) on demand. This is why Stanley Meyer went to injecting water into the combustion chamber and making a "spark plug" that would then convert the water to HHO and ignite in the combustion chamber.

The alternator on the car has no problem making enough electricity for this electrolysis to happen. If it did not we would not be able to power headlights, high powered stereo systems, dvd players, tv's video games, lap tops etc... A lot of these must have a lot of power and also have a power inverter to change from DC to AC. Sometimes a stereo system is so exotic and consumes so much power that you must add a second battery. But never a second alternator, only replace it with one that produces more power. Some vehicles (especially small ones) do not have a very powerful alternator from the factory and may need an upgraded, more powerful alternator.
Just because this system uses the electricity to produce more power (instead of powering toys) does not mean this violates any of the laws of science, nor does this produce a perpetual motion device.

Looks like this does work......

"Honda rolls out new zero-emission car

By TOMOKO A. HOSAKA, Associated Press Writer Posted Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:31am PDT

Canadian actress Laura Harris reacts during an interview by reporters about the new FCX Clarity at a Honda Motor Co. plant in Takanezawa, Tochigi prefecture (state) Monday, June 16, 2008. The Japanese automaker has begun commercial production of its new zero-emission, hydrogen fuel cell car, called the FCX Clarity. (AP Photo/Katsumi Kasahara)

TAKANEZAWA, Japan - Honda's new zero-emission, hydrogen fuel cell car rolled off a Japanese production line Monday and is headed to Southern California, where Hollywood is already abuzz over the latest splash in green motoring....."

saw this....just a heads up

HHO is the gas Oxyhydrogen which is also referred to as Brown's gas for Yule Brown who patented an electorlyzer 1977 and 78. HHO, trademarked as Aquygen, is what Dennis Klein calls the gas that his electorlyzer creates; it's all the same thing. To put it simply HHO is gaseous mixture of Hydrogen and Oxygen in a 2:1 ratio; respectively. So, there is no HHO molecule per se, but the term HHO is valid.

The reason you don't store HHO, or if you prefer the technical form; 2H2 + O2, is because H2 (hydrogen) is combustible in the presence of oxygen (O2) and a sufficient ignition source (energy). Storing the gas mixture under pressure is dangerous because the pressure, heat and/or vibration can act as the ignition source. The reaction in this case is a chemical reaction; not a nuclear event as in "the" hydrogen bomb.

NTC Victoria,
Your post seems like a plant by runyourcarwithwater.com more than a comment contributing to the discussion. Your 'ex' installed 'similar' contraptions with 'great success'? What is that? What is the article on a similar product that you are writing? What are the results of your research? Throw us a bone or have your ex post something useful.
Thanks!

This is obviously a scam. You'll've paid $50 for piece of paper describing perpetual motion.
You might as well put a fly wheel in your car that absorbs energy while driving down hill, then gives it back going up hill. Turn you car off when you get to the first down hill stretch and you won't have to use any gas at all!
Send me $50 and I'll send you the technical diagrams.
