My pet peeve with phone sales pitches and even print ads is I want it in writing!
On the other end are people like me who over explain things leaving the reader lost in all the details. Just as annoying if not more so.
Outlining is the key but one that's seldom is practiced. Give an overview with links to the details in writing.
I'm not a "know it all", I'm a "Wanna know it all". Put it in writing. That's why I like reading this forum.

Just2EZ: My pet peeve with phone sales pitches and even print ads is I want it in writing! Jimmy, your post is a great example of why it's important to use a variety of marketing methods to get your message out. The wider you cast your net, the better chance your offer has of resonating with prospects of all appeals.
So, if you apply Forrest Gump's "box of chocolates" philosophy to your promotional approach, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you get when the dust settles.

A8ch: prospects of all appeals Thanks Hermas, that is what I need to remember. Just because I don't like pitches without facts doesn't mean others feel that way. Many people I know would rather have a pretty face tell them what to buy. Which is why I'm working on creating video commercials with my daughter.
I may be the only one who reads the TOS before signing up. There is a void in my head that needs to be filled with facts.
