Omg Ive never been so bombarded with so much information all at the same time because i can stop reading and trying to absorb everything in as little time possible... IMPOSSIBLE.....

My dream was always to work my internet business craft quietly and then come out of the woodworks with loads of money just to prove the ones that told me "its all scam" wrong.

And now look! i cant even comprehend on where to start. this is all ming boggling. No wonder its called the web because you get into one thing that leads to another and another and another and soon you wont even know where you started or ended or even where you began.

What you need to do is to take a step back, pick a method and go give it a fair trial. Forget about grabbing every single method talked about on this forum or any other forum.

Forums can be very good for information but can also have you chasing your tail if you try to go with everything at once. I will give you an example...

CPA marketing is just very great these days and you can easily get your self started on this area and gather information on how to maximise your efforts...that will be a better approach to your internet business.

Pick a method and give it a fair run. Good Luck

nconcept2:

I am with you - it would be an absolute blast to take a suitcase with about ten grand in cash and go buy a car with it then tell everyone the story.

But as far as the bombarded feeling... kyrash has some great advice there....find a program that you are comfortable with like the 30 Day Challenge is free and a great one to use.

What got me going on a good solid track was the One Week Marketing or OWM as it has a good solid plan using stuff like blogs, wordpress, Squidoo etc to get campaigns set up for whatever you want to market.

It may be a different program for you, that will get the lightbulbs going and the keyboard clicking... but the bottom line is that you need a simple guide to follow... once you do that, some of the other stuff on the forums will make sense to you.

Believe me, there are STILL things here on the forum, that I don't understand but once I get there it will make sense.

You definitely need to try and get focused
and work on one thing at a time. I think
information overload is what causes more
people to give up on internet and affiliate
marketing.

I read an e-book one time called "5 bucks a day"
and you were to figure out something that would
make you $5.00 a day and then you spent time on that.
When you got to $5.00 a day, you found out what
you needed to do to make $10.00 a day and then
you did that.

It was all about getting yourself focused to do
the things that actually brought in money, i.e.,
writing articles, blogs, etc. instead of checking
e-mail, organizing your desk, etc.

You start small and work from there.

Hi nconcept2,

Information overload happens to everyone that does a reasonably good amount of research. Though it's distressing, it's actually a good sign.

I don't know if you've got all the fundamentals down yet, but make sure that much at least is true before you try anything.

Then start simple. A great place to put your theory to the test is by starting a free Squidoo lens (page).

Then you can set up the on-page SEO, put up your content with some pictures and perhaps a video. Put up an amazon module to monetize and set up your PayPal info so you get a little co-op Adsense revenue.

Set up some back links to your lens for a little off-page SEO. Drive some traffic to your lens and see what works and what doesn't.

Once you learn enough you can set up paid hosting and do similar things but on a larger scale.

Sound like a plan?

So true, so true, nconcept! I know exactly how you feel, every time I go to begin one marketing task (out of the MILLIONS that I've learned) it always leads somewhere else. I just had to let you know I feel your pain! Now I'm gonna go back and read all the wonderful advice I'm sure the awesome contributors on this site have shared!

Good post,
Diane

I think most of us have been through this stage.

Then to find out you need to write too!

I would start with Squidoo, as described above, and take the Thirty Day Challenge, which is free and very focused.

And, take a day off once is a while to get outside.

Cheers!
Victoria
