CPA is 'cost per action'.
Companies like rocketprofit.com broker CPA deals. Companies need leads or sales. They go to a company like rocketprofit and rocketprofit then gets marketers both big and small to promote those offers. The marketer (in this case you) gets paid per action that is completed as you drive traffic to the company's site (an action can be a sale, someone enters their phone number, enters their email, etc.)
In other words, you drive traffic to a company's site. If the traffic performs the desired action you get paid.

allenadeola: CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THIS CPA WORKS BECAUSE I WAS TOLD IS AN EASY AND SURE WAY OF MAKING MONEY ONLINE Hi Allen: Would you please do me a personal favor? Typing in all caps is like yelling. I'd appreciate it if you'd avoid doing that in the future.
No, CPA is not easy and it's not a sure way of making money. Nothing in online marketing is easy. As with everything in online marketing, you have to study it and experiment with it to make it work. It takes time and effort.
Ty explained it well enough. It's similar to affiliate marketing. The difference is that you get paid for a specific action such as filling out an application for a credit card or some other kind of online form rather than getting paid a commission per each sale.
Usually you'll have to pay for the traffic, so not only is it not "easy" and not "a sure thing", but you can lose money if you don't get a high enough conversion rate.
I'll say it again - nothing in online marketing is easy or a sure thing else each of us would be laughing all the way to the bank every month.
Though I smile all the way to the bank each month, I don't ever recall "laughing" about it.

CPA can mean both 'Cost Per Acquisition' and 'Cost Per Action'. Many folks, event some internet marketers, haven't heard about if before - and there is a good reason why - the marketers who are making money from CPA, don't usually share!

Most of the top CPA earners are also PPC marketer. If you're already good at PPC marketing, you should do well in CPA marketing.
Lots of marketers try to sell CPA courses and they they promise that it is easy and the only thing you have to do is buy their courses.
