Hi.I wanted to join this forum, mainly to share my story and also get some advice....To tell you the truth, I have been surfing a lot for the past month, looking for an ideal stay at home business or any thing that will help me earn some money. I lost my job, its been two months now and the time I've spent on the net, the amount of money I have spent on trying new online businesses, have made me broke and very stressed. I have no credit cards, so all the money spent were from my own savings...Am so broke that even if I want to spend on some necessities, I can't. If you have any suggestion, feel free to reply. Thanks a lot

Hi Kithel... and welcome.
I see you are using the freewebsitesystem. I have never used it myslef so if you have the option of using more than one template with that, have you considered promoting products other than work at home stuff with it??
The reason being that it is really hard to promote the work at home stuff with things like articles, squidoo lenses, blogs etc, and get found thru search engines...
If you chose some products like something related to sports or gardening for example, you could set up lenses, blogs and write articles with links back to your website where you have the top three products from Clickbank showcased there .... make sense?
Just a suggestion.

Hi kithel,
Beside work at home stuff, maybe you want to try another things to promote like weight loss industry or others mentioned by mountainmom5.
Just focus on promoting your products using the free internet marketing methods.
I am sure you will start to earn money soon.

Hi Kithel,
Have you considered the Thirty Day Challenge? This is awesome, free training.
Making money online does take some time. Unless you have things to sell on eBay.
I am sorry to hear of your problem. The more worried you are and the more pressure you feel will only make your situation worse.
Consider the Challenge....pre-season has begun.
Victoria

hi guys! Thanks a lot for all your advice. I think I was pretty stressed when I wrote the message yesterday. Am sorry for that. But I think you are right Victoria. I think am in too much hurry to make money and am not considering the fact that making money online does take time when I don't have stuff i could promote on ebay. But I cannot think of anything else as I am so broke for the time being... I hope to hear from you guys again and thank you a lot for making me feel better.

Hey Kithel,
You've come to the right place - no doubt you've realised this by the constructive comments above!
There's a couple of things about the 'freewebsitesystem' I'd like to mention:
1. Last time I looked, the template for the 'freewebsitesystem' was fixed and only allowed you to promote 'work at home' opportunities. You can upgrade to the 'pro plan' which would allow you up to 5 templates in 5 niche areas (work at home, weight loss, forex, surveys, government record search). You would also be allowed to choose the clickbank products you wish to promote in association with those niches. Upgrading to 'pro plan' would cost $140/year. While this is good value if you have 5 sites up and running, I wouldn't recommend it if you're broke and starting out. You would also have to buy a domain name for each site at about $10/year each.
2. As far as the link to your 'freewebsitesystem' in your signature goes, I would make it clickable and also use text that would entice would-be customers to your site. Just type the following in your signature box: [!url=http://www.yourfreewebsitesystem.com/kithel]Enticing text here![/url] (remove the exclamation mark after ' [ ' )
Finally, I would like to echo Victoria's recommendation to try the 30 Day Challenge. This is a great course which is completely free and teaches you all the basics you need to know about affiliate marketing on the internet. What's more, the content is (or very soon will be) fresh for 2009.
And my final, final piece of advice is to avoid paying for any other online business product - at least until you're making money through using free methods. This goes for all products - no matter how good they may sound.
Best of luck Kithel

I lost my job too and I know how scary it can be. Financial worries are the worst. They will consume you and eat you alive. You can make money online, but it does take time. I have been doing it for 5 months and am just now seeing results.
Is there something you are passionate about? I too tried to promote work at home business but it just did not work for me. I was not enjoying it. Look around and click on some of the signatures here. Get some ideas. There are a lot of people here that promote the work from home idea, but there are a lot of us here that are also just kind of doing our own thing with a topic that excites us.
Once you figure out what exites you, come back here and start asking questions. I am a newbie, but will be glad to share what little I do know and I think I speak for all in this forum with these words. There are some here that know a lot.
Best of luck, I know how you feel.

robinincarolina: They will consume you and eat you alive. Robin don't scare Kithel. She is already scared.
Welcome to the club Kithel. I lost my job twice in the past 3 years (the last time was in March), and robin lost her job this month.
It will get you depressed, no question. But you have to come over it if you want to continue in this life .. don't you?
I have posted an invitation to one of the new members here on the forum to try my own system and follow my coaching. In return I asked for a testimonial when I need it. He took it and we started today. A slow start but .. at least he is relying on someone who "claims" to know the way. It makes you feel better when someone else is driving .
Well .. the same invitation is available for you and for every one who reads this post.
I am taking challenging cases to coach them to start making money online from scratch. No investment required at the beginning. In return, I am putting this system for sale and will need your testimonial. Real ones of course.
If interested in being my "experimental subject" please PM me to arrange for the details.
By the way, I used this system myself and am testing it from time to time. It works. The experimental part will be in chosing the niche and traffic source.

Im glad I saw this post. The first thing to do is not to panic. Many times when one door closes a window opens. So the first thing to think about is all you have and not what you have lost. Now when the bills are coming in and there is no income to handle those bill it can be challenging to keep your head up but it is possible.
Now what can you do for income now? I would suggest looking at free affiliate programs. There are many on the market and many are reviewed or talked about in this forum. You can find something that you like and get started in that. In addidtion I would look for all the free training on the internet I could find. Im not a part of the program but have seen and heard alot of good things about Mentoring For Free. They have some great training to get your feet wet.
In addition id love for you to contact me personally so we can see in more detail what I might be able to do for you to help as well. There is alot of help out here on this forum and I hope you can find what you are looking for.

Hi Kithel,
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I'd like to point out that online income won't come soon enough to save you from your financial difficulties.
I suggest that you learn it on the side while working a regular job to ensure that you can at least eat and pay your critical bills. Transitional jobs aren't too bad since they tend to motivate you into putting a lot of time into learning about making money online.
Once your online biz takes off, you can drop the transitional job.
You have immediate needs and the only ways to handle that are to either get a regular job or to get unemployment for a time.
In the mean time, read around this forum a bit and take the 30 Day Challenge - it's free.
Read from make money online sites. Ditch the YourFreeWebSiteSystem. It's too competitive a market for a newbie and is a waste of time for you right now.
Spend your time learning instead.
Read, read, read.
Best of luck,
~Newbie Shield~
