No it won't save you from your financial challenges overnight, but it can be done. Do what you have to do, the job market is not good right now, clean houses, cater lunches, thats what I have done. Supplemental income, but it is amazing what you can do when your back is against the wall.

I am ok now, and others will tell you that there is a great learning curve and yes there is. I have so much to learn, but my back was against the wall and I am going to be ok. I am not trying to sell you anything except confidence that it can be done. I am not making a ton of money, but I am paying my bills, and it had nothing to do with any business in a box, but everything to do what is in me.

I am new as well, but I am here if you want to know anything I have learned my heart goes out to you because I know where you are. I was there.

I agree with Newbie Shields, the free website is not the answer, its whats you are excited about that is the answer. If you love what you are doing it can work. That may not register with you now, but one day, on a wing and a prayer, it may go off in your head like a lightbulb.

Whoa, I'm just now seeing this thread. Better late than never huh? . First of all, NS's advice is 100% on point because the fact of the matter is that things won't happen overnight so it makes the most sense to have a little side gig going to tide you over. Layoffs are tough.

Secondly, the work at home market is super saturated. I am also a newbie, but I think my 2 cents are worthwhile in this instance. What I'd suggest would be that you evaluate what your strengths are and leverage your background into a site that you will be able to write quality content for.

I mean, since you're on the affiliate marketing path right now, that just needed to be said. Content is key because you need visitors in order to get clicks/purchases for whatever product it is you are promoting. If you have a hobby that would help too because 1) you know a lot about it and 2) you can write with a passion that will help endear people to your opinions of things.

There are ways to get started on the path of understanding it all for free. I'm a big cheerleader for the 30 Day Challenge, so I will echo what Victoria and IP have said. It is going on right now actually, so now is an absolute perfect time to hop on board with THAT. There's also BUM Marketing.

You'll have to get a feel for things because there are quite a few things to understand in order to make fitting choices on the path that is right for you. Also, knowledge... as well as the helpful members of this forum, will help you not get scammed .

So, to sum up:
1) Make sure you are okay on food and bills for the time being.
2) Think about what experiences, hobbies, esoteric knowledge, etc. you could find a niche market for.
3) Learn learn learn - and learn for free (because getting a foundation under your feet doesn't have to cost)
4) Take action on what you've learned while continuing to learn.
5) Did I mention learn, learn, learn? Yeah, learn
6) Take more action

Time and patience and patience.... and don't forget you have a community of lovely and KNOWLEDGEABLE people behind you too.

M.

hey guys.
I am starting to understand what you are saying. I think I have made too many decisions in haste and thats why I am in this particular situation for the time being.
I will take all your advice into consideration and I hope this will turn out fine. But the best thing I should be doing according to me is to learn to walk before starting running
Thanks a lot guys,
Kithel

Walking is great. Crawling's not bad either . You'll do fine Kithel, as long as you remain patient with it all. Slow and steady wins the race you know .

I would NOT try a work a home business until you have a few dollars saved up that you are willing to lose. And, you should have at least 3 to 6 months of work at home funds available to spend on your business. this includes advertising and any monthly costs you MLM may charge.

Until you get that 3-6 months stocked away i would work for someone else. Otherwise, any business started on too lean of a budget will make you desperate to make cash quickly and will be a pressure filled experience that will most likely cause you to quit too soon.

High all! I know how you feel kithel, I am in a similar boat, so you aren't alone. The worse part for me and I am sure for you is not even being able to find jobs in my skill level so any legally possible side income or permanent is wanted.

Good Luck to you!

Hi Kithel,
not sure if you have started making money by now? I sure hope so.
Don't give up! Persist! In the beginning it is always difficult and you get to a point where you want to give up. I know, I've been there.
Look at your faults, where you may be going wrong and improve on these or cut them out completely. Concentrate on what gives you better results.
Wish you all the best.

Hello Kithel and welcome aboard. I am new as well, although I have a job. From what I am reading Affiliate marketing is the way to go regarding work from home program. It will take time, but hang in there. I would suggest getting a job until you get a steady income coming in as an affiliate marketer. Do not get frustrated. Be patient. If you follow the necessary steps the money will come in.

I think there are plenty of opportunities for anyone looking to make money online. Depends what you are interested and how much time and effort you have to put in and what you want out of it. There are lots of opportunities.

Hi Everyone,

I am also new here but can definately relate to a lot of what has been said. I actually work for a network marketing company and plugged away for 3 years before I really saw any results. I know that network marketing gets a bad press and to be honest, I was close to being one of those failiure stats myself!

I guess the fact is that if something is really worth having, then it is worth working at and usually will take a LOT of work! Any business or opportunity that claims to be easy is not likely to be geunuine because otherwise everyone would be successful at it.

All I know is that if you are committed to succeeding, whatever it takes, then you will get there. So, best of luck to you all!

It's important that you still have a way of making a genuine income, whilst your trying to build this business, as It certainly won't happen overnight, despite what a few folk might tell or show you.

If & when you start making money through your business, try to reinvest a little of the money wisely, on your website(s) & don't let the whole exercise become stale, or your potential customers will desert you & look elsewhere !

Just to squeeze in something, you can try out your hands at online freelancing too. You may check Craigslist for jobs too.

Hi Kithel
I would recommend branching out into other niche markets besides make money at home products. I would advise you to find something that you are passinate about and don't mind always studing and learning more new things about.
