i'm new, i'm learning alot, and and i will lurk some more, looks like average joe, and weathly affilliate are the two i'm starting to look at closer, but my needs are simple.. i'm a broke, broken carpenter, that is more of a dreamer than anything else, but i want a turnkey, (or VERY close to)where i can build on, ie; if i start off selling industrial tiolet paper, and switched over or added imported yak meat, i want to be able to do it, and i dont want to mess with "slight of hand" tactics... ppl like that need to be shot. (no kidding, my personal belief) in the leg for the first offense... three strikes, and you get the head shot

Hi aldanson, as my name suggest I am very very new to all this home based & internet marketing business. I have spent the past 2 days reading almost everything on the forums in this website, now to be honest, I am more confused than ever.
The reason I replied to your post is because I thought I would start with type at home, data entry & surveys which I think a new person like me would be able to handle, when I saw your post I clicked on your links & found your info to be rather a relief as just about everyone says that any data entry, type at home business is a scam, good to read something more objective.
I want to know if you can give me some advice on how to start, I would like to make around $1000+ per month & have to time to put in the work. I forgot to mention that I live in Australia so will what you are doing be suitable for me?
Oh, anyone else who can offer me some advice are very welcome & much appreciated.
Thanks so much

There are many success stories and many failures in regard to making money online. However rest easy in that it truly is possible for anyone to make money online.
I know of many "no-names" who most people have never heard of, but are easily pulling in anywhere from $1,000-$10,000 a month. I can say I fit somewhere in this category as well.
Don't misunderstand me though, while the money is out there, the path is not an easy one. For some people they make money their first month, others take years before they make their first sale. There WILL be mistakes, difficulties, and tons of roadblocks. But if you are willing to put in the effort and learn from your experiences, it is very possible to make a great income online.
Solomon

I've been earning money online for about a year and a half now. Unfortunately, I'm not earning a "full time" income, but I do earn commissions on a regular basis.

Its very possible to earn money online, It will be 2 years since I started and I have done real well. Last year my husband and I made almost a half a million. You have to work hard and don't give up. I think thats where a lot of people mess up, they think they can get rich over night and that just doesn't happen. It takes time and for some it takes longer then others. You have to do something that you believe in and work very hard with it.

Sell a product not just a bunch of hype. Stick to it and don't be fooled by all the get rich quick schemes. Keep your money in your pocket and your fingers on the key board. Try to establish multiple income streams. I have learned the hard way that what is paying good today can end tomorrow.

Sparkle,
How did you and your husband start. I think I have joined a great program but they are giving me so many things to do now that I feel overwhelmed.

i have only been promoting my powermall for 2 months part time online (max 4hrs per week) it is beginning to kick in. that is to say i am getting some rebates (very small ) and my downline is beginning to take on a life of its own and is great fun to log into to have a look.
I think it is a brilliant concept especially for newbies. as it is not a scam, is turnkey and has huge longterm potentiall. For those in the US its got to be great as there are so many free ways to promote the biz ( well they just take your time and maybe ink and paper)
anyone can PM me if you want to know wore but the link is in my sig.

Hi catfly!
I'm glad that you are on board with Power Mall. I just joined yesterday and I am so excited about it (very unusual for me) that it is hard to sleep.
I can't believe how great the downline residuals are. It looks like we are on the road to be set for life. All that for free too. I am so dang tempted to bring it up to friends and relatives. What do you think?

Hey Guys-
Yes, you can make money working from home. I am not going to retire yet, but I am consistently bringing in about $800 per month.
I have had most success creating my own ebooks and working with the "7 Dollar Ebook" model. I then use very selective PPC marketing (mainly with MSN versus Google) and keep my costs per click relatively low.
I am also looking at trying some offline marketing as well. I haven't yet, but I'll post results when I see how they're working.
Robert

Some people make a whole lot of money. I don't think that you can buy the secret for $49.00. I do think you can get rich if you sell the secret for $49.00.
My friend owns smartpunk and he does okay. He has gotten a few good offers to sell out but he's still in control. I think it's best to market on and off the internet. SmartPunk always always has a booth on the Warped tour. That really gets them infront on their target audience. They also advertise in both printed and online zines.

I have been working with a travel company and I am getting paid for work I didn't do. I am receiving spillover from my upline. This is the first time I have made money from a program and especially from my upline. Everyone helps everyone to make money.

You can make money if you do the footwork. You have to put in the time. Do what you love and the money will follow. It's true. Become an expert at something.
Life is little more than a game of sacrifices. You sacrifice your time or your money on "this" at the expense of "that". Get in the game. Put in the time and/or money. Good things don't just happen to people. The people work hard to earn them.
Good luck,
Newbie Shield
