Google Keyword Tool now shows actual numbers in search volume results columns.

It's about time :)

That's great! Unfortunately they don't have numbers on the competition, but its a start...

This is certainly a helpful tool for search results.

You can also try 'wordtracker'

This is awesome, but I'm not sure how accurate it is...they seem to be going through a process. I searched for some keywords that I know are getting daily searches, but it says no results. Conversely, I have heard from someone else that he did a search for some completely random jumbled sentence and it says it gets 4,000 monthly views, which is ridiculous. Use this in conjuction with wordtracker and other tools, though and you should be good to go.

Hi Keith,

It'll be great if they decide to include that

I'm surprised it took them this long to offer the numbers for the monthly search volume. It would have been helpful from the beginning.

I think they will eventually include them. So much for promoting Keyword Research software - could be a dead niche sooner or later, unless the software can do more than just the basics...

I use NicheBot.
However, this is awesome data!
Straight from the source!

It looks like Google updated several columns to better assist keyword research. They spent several hours yesterday just implementing the changes.

See if you can figure out what they've improved or altered.

Yeah, this has been a Blessing to many. I know myself in the last few weeks it has put my ' Keyword finding skills ' in overdrive for each one of my blogs. It lets me know which phrases are worth pursuing and a list of all the long tailed keywords I need to concentrate on.

I can't figure it out. What exactly did they change?

They changed the bars, which are still present for advertisers competition column, to actual numbers. They've also added the avg. CPC you need to reach 1-3 spot for an ad.

Last but not least, good improvements although I use keyword tool to only "scan" through the keywords and to get the ideas for the long tailed ones.
