I lurked for a while before I joined, and I gotta say I LOVE this forum and everyone shares such good information! I'm still learning but I can't wait to share what I have learned so far!

Angie,

Hello, and thank you for that encouraging response. I do apologize for taking so long to respond. I checked out your sites and they are awesome!!! That's wonderful that you can use your hobbies to make money. I was trying to think of the hobbies that i do, but I don't have many. I work full time, I attend church, and I sing with a local gospel group. Many times, i have activities going on with all three in the same week or weekend and it can be very tiring, so sitting at home is all i want to do sometimes.

When I was in school, i told my classmates that i wanted to have a site where married couples could buy things to enhance their love life and they looked at me like i was a freak or something. I wasn't trying to sell porn, I was trying to help couples that have troubles in that department. In my mind I was thinking that it could be one less divorce in the world. So after being discouraged about my idea, I decided to give other home based businesses a try, and I've failed miserably because many of these businesses are scams.

Don't get me wrong, my faith is still there, but it's dwindling down. So any help or advice you can offer is greatly appreciated. I'm still new to this site so I don't know how to send a private message. Lol, perhaphs we can start there. I look forward to hearing from you Angie!!! God bless and thanks for your time.

Hi Angie,

Thanks for your kind words about my sites. I appreciate that. I'm pretty amazed sometimes when I look at them objectively and see how far I've come.

Let's get you started first with learning to send a private message (pm). To the left you'll see the member info. of each person posting. Next to the name is a little envelope. When you click on the envelope next to someones name, you are able to send them a pm.

To check your own private messages, look at the top of the page and you'll see a link that says private messages (you have to be logged in, I think). Clicking on that link will take you to your own private message folder.

I'll send you a pm so you can test it out.

That's okay. It's not required that you choose a hobby. It's just a really fun option. It can be anything you are interested in, or want to learn more about. You'll learn how to do some brainstorming and research to pick out a niche topic that is right for you.

Which site are you referring to?

Blessings,

Thanks Vishal!

Let's just say I'm a little new to this forum contribution concept. Have been reading forums for years, taking in whatever i could, but never spending the time to contribute to any posts.

Well...now is the time to share and I am extremely thankful for this post, as it has provided me with so much quality information during the short time I have been reading posts.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences and I hope to have some to share in the near future!

Hey Vishal (man, FORCE the spellcheck to recognize your name )

I want to say it's a breath of fresh air to hear an admin saying this. I'm a member at forums and there are always people who scan topics looking for the opportunity to show up and say, "I had the same problem. I found the solution and it's great!! Check my sig". When I point out that that's pretty much the same thing as someone spamming, mods usually delete my posts.

As for this forum: I think it's great. I'm not one of the people here to share good info. I think of myself as a splash of icy water or a slap in the face. I try to tell people the truth. Sure, most won't listen but surely somebody will.

Heh-heh... if nothing else, I might save someone from falling for a scam because in the back of their minds they wonder if it's my sales page and they don't want to give me any money.

Hey Henry, I come across many who post just for the sake of flashing their signature. I simply direct them to read this post.

Most calm down and realize what they have been doing. For those who don't I just show them the door. I don't hesitate a bit.

Regarding what to share, I like your attitude. One of the best thing you can do to yourself is to just be yourself and not try to be somebody else.

Vishal is an excellent administrator. It's been my experience that sig flashers either change their ways or are gone quickly.

Henry, I think you contribute quite a bit of quality stuff to the forum. I enjoy reading your input.

I'm glad you feel that way. I think you and I are on the same page 95% of the time (you're just a whole lot nicer about describing that page :grin

very well said! I do want to make money online, but i want people to be informed well with what i do because if its not something they want to do, then they really wont help me much. So my attitude is more like I enjoy helping others, so that is my main objective and if i make a little money thats great too! But i go in everyday not expecting anything just to help and talk with other people. I spend most of my day with a 4 year old so its nice to actually get to talk to adults throughout the day! That itself is payment!!!

This is my only form of advertisement and i have never sent anyone to my link ever and it seems to be working out well without that. I also post on things that have nothing at all to do with making money from home. I also belong to a debt forum that i enjoy helping others with thier financial problems. Its rewarding all in its own. Now im not getting rich, but im not loosing money either on advertising. And im still generating a income everyday.

all good points here and the ettiquette is pretty good onthis site, no blatent spams and a lot of helpful posts all across the site. Besides, if you can help a personand show them your expertise, they will be more likely to want to partner with you in the long run anyways. Its a win-win

I was complimenting Vishal in a private forum I belong to that was closing the business opportunity area of their forum. People wanted to know where they could go and get real, legitimate input, and this is where I told them to go!!!

I don't know how Vishal keeps up here without moderator's, very, very dedicated!!!!!!

Definitely one of the best forums. I know for me, if I only have time to visit one forum on a certain day this will be the one that I will go to.

You can count on very truthful feedback, whether it be good or bad, and it is very helpful.

Hi Vishal,

That was well said. I was actually hesitant to even share the link in my first post a few moments ago after reading the rules.

Yes, we marketers should appreciate the wisdom of no-rush, especially those who are just starting, like me.

I hope I can learn so much from the experts of this forum, between sharing of thoughts.

Many thanks
