Use this syntax in which you'd insert a little bit of JavaScript:

<a href="Name of the website, or what should appear in status bar." rel="nofollow" onmousedown="Affiliate link goes right here.';">Product title</a>

If you use Wordpress, you can also use a fre plugin, PrettyLinkLite.

To cloak your affiliate link you could also use tiny url.com
This will shorten your link and it won't look like an affiliate link you can do it here http www.tinyurl.com hope that helps..

I would add to the other members post, be sure there are not any issues with the affiliates you use. Some times there are problems with cloaked links.

Just an FYI, you can double check to make sure.

If you have your own website and you want to cloak your links, here is a tool I use that is free of charge.

http://apps.agilemarketer.com/affiliate-link-cloaker.aspx

I found it a few months ago and I love it.

Yes I like the pretty link tool! It's a wordpress plug in! Works great and you can track your hits!

Pretty links worked for me. However, affiliate marketing has yet to make me any real money, yet.

same here, i struggle pushing other peoples products. I have been getting more and more hops each day but no sales. Do you ever wonder if THEIR sales page doesn't convert? Or is it your fault on not pre-selling as well. I think most of my hops are out of curiosity rather than with an interest in buying.

I've heard this phrase, "Nobody likes to be sold to, but everyone loves to buy," a link that just looks like your trying to sell them somoething doesn't work, it needs to look clean.

Would you be more inclined to by something with a link that showed like:

http://www.xyz.com/cli****/7?ejfteife?

or

I've used both cloaked and uncloaked and generally didn't find any significant difference in conversions.
