Hi discrat,
Commission Junction has worked well for me and in my opinion, it's the most professional network out there. I'm also a member of LinkShare, which is also quite decent.
I don't use Clickbank though many have profited from it. For the most part, it's too scammy.

When signing up for Linkshare or Commission Junction, do you give them your Social Security Number or did you get a Employer Identification Number (EIN)?

I have only tried cj but they seem like a good affiliate company although the individual companies must approve you in order to use thier banners.

Many affiliate networks are popping up these days; it's the new direct sales 'partial mlm' so you shouldn't have a problem finding plenty.
I like Neverblue very well structured user friendly platform.
