Do you have to have a web site to promote a product from Clickbank? How does it work? I thought it was just an Ad I make and people click on it, then it goes to the web site of the product you are promoting. As you can tell, I am new at this and need lots of info.....please !

You have the right idea. You don't have to have a website. You can place ads with links to the product page as you described.

That said, you can use a website to promote the products, too. Basically, you would be "preselling" so that people would click through to the sales page.

Those are just a couple of the options. Whatever works for y ou.

Thanks Happywife. So how do I go about placing ads with the links to the product page? I bought AVJ and there is lots of good info in the package...but obviously not enough for a newbie.

Well, it's been awhile since I used Clickbank products to place ads (they were never fruitful for me), so I need to think.

First decide which products you want to promote. You'll see a little link that says "create hoplink" (if I remember correctly), click on that and it will bring up a little box where you put in your clickbank ID name and then it will create the referral link for you.

You can use the link just as it is, or you can hide it by using link cloaking (I think they have instructions at CB on how to do that) or get a domain name and create subdomains for each product you want to promote. Then you just redirect that subdomain to your referral link.

If you are a "newbie" as you said, you may just want to stick with the basic link provided to get started. It's really easy to create a subdomain and use redirects (that's what I do) and it is probably easy to do link cloaking, but I haven't tried that out. So if you prefer to try that, go for it.

After you have decided on how you are going to link, then you just go and place your ads. You can use free advertising, like USfreeads or Craigslist or a whole range of others. Just do a Google search for free classifieds.

I wouldn't advise you to do PPC like Google Adwords unless you do some thorough research and get a good understanding of it first. Many people lose money that way because they don't know the best way to do it.

Hope that helps you get started.

I don't believe any of these products have ever helped a newbie. Far from it, these products simply appeal to a newbie's greed, that's all. In other words, revenue is being generated from the false hopes about home business, rather than from home business itself.

I certainly don't think so...I am an affilitte for Clickbank. I became one after buying a few of they're products and putting them into action. This is now my main source of income! Yes, it took a few months to get it right, but after I did, the money started flowing, and I had a new job!!!

I should also mention that I did not have a clue what Clickbank was untill I bought some of those affiliate e-books and courses.

A lot of garbage Clickbank products yes. But some are decent. The best way to find out is to purchase the product yourself - which is difficult to do if you don't have a lot of cash to throw around. The next best way it to google the product and do some research. If people on associated forums like it, it's probably a good deal. That being said - many people will pay more for an ebook than an actual book because they can get it instantly.

Anybody who says that all the products on ClickBank are garbage couldn't possibly know that. There are thousands of products on ClickBank. If you say they are all trash does that mean that you have evaluated all of them thereby making you qualified to say that they are all trash?

There are good products on ClickBank. It's just like anything else - you have to be selective. If you have a tendency to be more ethical then you will be more selective. If you just want to make money quick and you don't care about the customer, then you'll be open to the snake oil.
