Hi! I'm into both affiliate marketing and selling my own jewelry on sites like Ebay and Etsy. My question is, anyone else out there currently selling Jewelry or other handmade products? Or even for companies like Lia Sophia?

I'd love to get some ideas going on how to best promote my stuff and I know this forum is great for feedback

thanks!

I sell locally handmade log furniture which is a much bigger item than jewelry but the marketing methods are the same, I believe.

What has worked well for me is by combining a bunch of stuff... I have my blog where I direct traffic to that I get from ads on Craigslist, etc... (you can't send people from Craigslist to Ebay or Amazon)... then I send them from the blog to both my website and Ebay...

I also built a whole passle of Squidoo lenses which is how I get a bunch of google traffic to my Ebay store... then I have several articles floating around as well.

I think the important thing is to have keyword focused pages out there as you can build as many lenses and blogs , etc as you want, but if they are not getting traffic, it is not of much value!

Like when I go to build a lens on a specific item such as pine bookcases , for instance, I will search for a keyword phrase under bookcase that is used the most and with not much competition and build a whole lens around that phrase.

My favorite tool to use for that is: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Have fun!

You can try selling at the local flea market and other exhibitions.

Wow, that is a very unique market! I've been poking around Squidoo for the last couple of the months and I'd imagine that Handmade Log furniture would do very well on there. I'm going to try and get my jewelry up, I'm working on getting a better camera for clearer shots.

Btw, Your website is very tastefully done and well written! I was quite impressed with both the layout and content. Bravo!

pcwork- thankfully I live in an area where those are very popular. Unfortunately there's very heavy competition. I'm hoping maybe if I sell enough online I can upgrade to pricier gems and maybe play with the "big boys" at the local church craft shows!
