Hi guys,
I am planning to promote laptops. Yes I am going to be an affiliate promoting laptops. Please suggest which affiliate program would earn me more revenue and more profit.
Amazon or Ebay or Anything else (When it comes to promote laptops)
Thanks Sam

eBay will convert better than Amazon, and it is better to use eBay feeds because the content is always changing. One of the drawbacks of Amazon is that they only have a one day tracking cookie, but eBay uses a 7 day cookie.
What you could do is set up one page for eBay and another page for Amazon, get stat tracking, and see which one converts better. My bet would be eBay every time.

Thanks Keith for the answer I was wondering which one of these is better. I thought maybe Ebay would be, but wasn't sure. Are there any products you think would be better to go with Amazon than Ebay or is it Ebay across the board? Thanks Sonni

I would say eBay accross the board in general, although I would think that books would be better for Amazon. However, I think it is important to test, because if you don't test, you will never know if your assumptions are correct.

Ebay, Ebay, Ebay
As ebay seller and buyer for 5years.
They have good arbitrable payment system which is Paypal
It will prevent from money thefts and stolen item and so on..
Also contents on ebay is huge trementous and almost everything
is on ebay market. just like super store!!
The best tip for buying ebay is bid on item those end auctions are during midnight!!! You will probably win the item unless some other people stay up night

Hi Sam,
Just go to a few websites that sell laptops and see if they have an affiliate program.

Ebay is good, you should also check out commission junction. They have a list of companies you can join. Some of which you wont be able to register with unless you are with CJ.com anyway. Check it out!
Good Luck!

Another vote for eBay.
You could Google product + affiliate or affiliate program and probably com up with some additional ideas. Once on eBay, they will probably browse for some time. Happy selling! Victoria

Oh Yeah Ebay is pretty good. I use to use Ebay all the time but there fees are so painful. If you want to sell stuff for free and have your own store go to www.eCrater.com. Its a great site. Amazon seems to diffuclt for the average user to start and sell things. Ebay is better and more easier to set up.

Amazon's fees are quite a bit higher than those of E-bay, but you also don't need to worry about listing fees if it does not sell, collecting funds and dealing with pay-pal witholdings etc.
I still say e-bay though .

I think that they are both good in terms of selling laptops. I am sure that there are other places that you can sell.
Why not try both.

I like Newbie Shield's suggestion. Find a site that sells laptops with an affiliate program. Maybe do that AND promote eBay as well with an eBay feed. Personally, I love Amazon, but I would not try to market laptops as an Amazon Affiliate.
Are you familiar with TigerDirect? I just went over there and if you scroll down to the bottom of their page there is a section that says 'Site Tools'. Under there is a link for Affiliates that gives you information on how to market their stuff.

Hi Samuel,
For about the last year I have been building autoblogs targeting both Amazon and Ebay. I never mix the two. My results and musings are as follows
Amazon - $3400 per month Ebay - $6700 per month
Based on close to 900 niche sites at this point.
Ebay - Very very tricky to get accepted to. I actually found a guy who got in for me for a fee and this was how I got my foot in. Imo, they don't like affiliates. I do lots of other stuff too but if I was all in EPN I would be a nervous girl. Low paying too, so I had to crunch out the number sites to get in. Less niche research, if its on ebay, people are buyin', simple as that. Google likes ebay ads so I get more traffic from them.
Amazon - Easy to get into obviously. I go for very long tail specific kwds stuff, usually high ticket items.
As I say, these two form aprt of my overall but I would not stake the house on EPN. They don't like us
