Hey Cmartel,
I just came across your posting and yes I have many questions, so I just want to say thank you in advanced and to let you know that I really appreciate what you're doing for others!
1. Are you involved with Clickbank, and if so what do you suggest I promote first? What have you had the most success with?
2. I really want to start to promote clickbank products and other products and services, but I don't know where to start. I have heard a lot about google adwords, but I don't know too much about it. Do you have any pointers or advise for me or maybe even a site that I can learn how to use google adwords, something that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. Or maybe I should ask you how you advertise? Or where you've had your success?
Well sorry for bugging you, but I would sure appreciate any help you could give me.
Thanks again for your time!
P.S. I'm just trying to find something that's honest and that can help me start to make money online.

Hi cmartel
Can I sign up with ourfreestuff.net? I have a couple of established websites in the work at home sector mainly offering clickbank products but I often run free cpa offers as pop-ups etc.
p.s what are the payment terms for affiliates?

Do you allow international publishers to signup? I once had a conversion of $125 and they refused to pay because I am a non-US resident.

Hi Netbiz!
Okay, firstly, I have not promoted ClickBank for at least three years now so I am unsure of what products are the top. However, as a general rule look for products wit a gravity of around 80-120 and with a $/sale that represents whatever the commission percentage is (to within a few bucks). If the $/sale is skewed it shows a product that experiences a lot of returns (and hence lower commissions).
As well, Google AdWords is a beast all on its on. I would check out forums like sitepoint.com or forums.digitalpoint.com so that you can learn a bit about how AdWords works. If you really want to buy something to learn there are a few eBooks out there so feel free to grab whichever one you want.
Remember to learn from your mistakes as you will make many. Nothing comes free in this game (unfortunately), so stick with it and good luck!

Sure you can sign up. In the comments section make sure you mention that you were sent by "cmartel". Generally, payment terms are pretty standard so long as your traffic is legitimate.

We have several international campaigns that you could run. Make sure that you mention where you are from as many developing nations are notorious for fraud. If possible, list your sites (sites with your name on the whois) and provide as much relevant information as possible.
As well, which network refused to pay you? If there was suspicion of fraud that could be why.

Hi cmartel
I'm always looking for help!.. I guess I'm a bit of a tart when it comes to information.. dont mind where it comes from as long as I understand it (which is not always the case ) and it makes me some money..
I have a few websites/blogs promoting affiliate stuff..mainly to do with pets, dachshunds..even pet rats!
I was just wondering.. does it work better to have just a couple of products promoted on a site or a multitude of different but related products?
Im not sure if it is too confusing for visitors to have ads promoting different products? Though in my case they are all related to pets/dachshunds etc..

Im not sure if it is too confusing for visitors to have ads promoting different products? Though in my case they are all related to pets/dachshunds etc.. This depends largely on the design of the blog itself as well as the traffic that it's receiving. It's also important to look at the type of traffic that the blogs are receiving.
If you are having a multitude of return visitors you will certainly benefit from having a wide range of monetization options. After all, if someone's going to convert they can only do it once per ad, right? Offering multiple ads in creatively designed ways will insure multiple conversions.
If the traffic is all one-time, however, you can run one ad group and get away with it. I tend to do this on per-per-lead campaigns, such as the dating campaigns. Since I want the visitor to convert for THAT campaign I make sure that the campaign I want is the only one on the page.
Hope that helps

Quoting: RaiderTim Hi, I'm interested in affiliate marketing but I'm a complete newbie and wouldn't know where to start. Could you recommend a website(s) or book that could get me started? I would really appreciate it. Personally, I work full time but would like to make an additional $1000-1500/mo. with a part time job at home such as affiliate marketing. Thanks for your input, Tim Hey Tim;
First, I'm not going to recommend anything where to have to "pay to play", so to speak. There are plenty of good websites about affiliate marketing that feature free information. Check out www.affiliateweb.org, www.digitalpoint.com, www.wickedfire.com, etc. Generally, read and learn as much as you can. Most importantly, remember that affiliate marketing is a business and you need to treat it as such. Approach it from that perspective and you will do well.
Remember to approach things from a common sense frame of mind. Carefully research the products you're going to promote and always remember that affiliate marketing comes down to three basic principles:
1) Build a website to promote the product.
2) Tailor your content towards the product so that the visitor will perform a desired action.
3) Generate traffic to your website. PPC advertising, viral marketing, and good old fashioned word of mouth are all effective ways to do this.
Good luck!

Quoting: aplina okay . how do you know which program is hot ,clean and scam This is your discretion. I always go a quick Google search for the vendors website, check around to see if there are any obvious "this website is a scam" postings anywhere, and I also check the whois to see where the website is registered and who owns it.
